Oleg Boltin has been ruled out of action after suffering a left elbow injury, New Japan Pro-Wrestling announced on Thursday.
In a statement released by NJPW, the company confirmed Oleg Boltin would miss the remainder of the current tour, although no timetable has been given for his return.
“Oleg Boltin will miss the rest of the series due to a left elbow injury,” the statement read. “Please note that the timing of his return is currently undecided.”
The promotion also apologised to fans who had been looking forward to seeing Boltin compete in the remaining events.
When Did Oleg Boltin Last Wrestle In NJPW?
Oleg Boltin last wrestled on May 6 during NJPW New Japan Road in Karatsu, teaming with Aaron Wolf and Tiger Mask in a victory over House of Torture members Dick Togo, Ren Narita and Yujiro Takahashi. Days earlier, the current NJPW STRONG Openweight Champion also competed at NJPW Wrestling Dontaku, where his team was defeated by The United Empire.
Before transitioning into professional wrestling, the 33-year-old Boltin represented Kazakhstan as a freestyle wrestler and captured gold at the 2021 Asian Championships. He retired from amateur wrestling in 2022 before signing with NJPW later that year.
