Matt Hardy believes Brock Lesnar‘s F5 is a far more painful move to take than The Undertaker‘s Last Ride, recalling one particularly brutal bump during his WWE career.
Speaking on the latest episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, the TNA star compared the two finishing moves and explained why Lesnar’s signature manoeuvre is much tougher to absorb.
“I would probably say the F5 has more of a chance of hurting, just because of the landing and the way you’re spinning,” Hardy said. “The Last Ride is pretty much a straight-up bump. It’s a big bump, but it’s usually a pretty safe bump. It’s just hard, very impactful.”
Hardy explained that taking the F5 requires wrestlers to control both their rotation and landing, making it significantly more difficult.
“The F5, though, can be pretty treacherous because you have to control the spin and the way you land. You’re trying to land as flat as you can, taking a front bump, which is a little trickier than a back bump.”
Matt Hardy Recalled The Hardest Bump He Has Ever Taken
The former WWE Tag Team Champion then reflected on one of the hardest bumps of his career, when Lesnar delivered an F5 onto the entrance stage during the April 15, 2002, episode of Raw.
“I landed as flat as I possibly could, but the one I took on the stage at Raw from Brock was really brutal because there was no padding or anything else,” Matt Hardy said. “That s**t hurt, man. Even though I landed as flat as I could, it was still a really, really rough one.”
