Stephanie Vaquer could be returning to WWE television much sooner than originally expected.
According to PWInsider, internal creative discussions surrounding Stephanie Vaquer’s return have reportedly intensified over the past week, with conversations specifically mentioning the possibility of her appearing on this coming Monday’s episode of WWE Raw from Greensboro, North Carolina. While nothing has officially been announced, the report stated that WWE is now viewing Vaquer’s comeback as a near-term creative priority rather than a distant return.
The update represents a notable shift from earlier reports regarding Vaquer’s absence due to injury. Last month, WrestleVotes Radio reported that there was no clear return timetable internally and that speculation within WWE had suggested she could miss at least six weeks of action. At the time, there was optimism that Vaquer might return by SummerSlam season, but no guarantees.
During the segment, Perez slammed an equipment case into Vaquer’s shoulder before Michael Cole later announced on commentary that Vaquer had suffered a second-degree AC sprain.
Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer later confirmed the injury was legitimate, with Meltzer reporting that a planned Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan match for Backlash had to be scrapped because of the injury.
When Did Stephanie Vaquer Get Injured?
It remains unclear exactly when the injury originally occurred. Reports have suggested the issue may have predated the Raw storyline attack and that the segment was designed to write Stephanie Vaquer off television while preserving the eventual programme with Liv Morgan.
Additional reporting from Bodyslam also claimed Vaquer and Morgan were both dealing with physical issues heading into WrestleMania 42, contributing to their Women’s World Championship match being kept under seven minutes.
Vaquer’s reign as Women’s World Champion lasted 210 days after she originally captured the vacant title from Iyo Sky at Wrestlepalooza in September 2025.
