Kevin Owens has hinted that he could be on his way back to WWE.
Kevin Owens has not been seen in WWE since April 2025. Just weeks before he was set to face Randy Orton at WrestleMania 41, Owens announced on SmackDown that he had been suffering from a neck injury that would require surgery.
Since then, there has been little information on any potential timeline for KO’s recovery, but now it appears he could be back in WWE sooner rather than later. The former Universal Champion posted a picture on social media showing former WWE star The Boogeyman holding a large alarm clock, something fans think is a cryptic tease that it’s nearing time for him to return.

Kevin Owens Praises Sami Zayn For Undisputed WWE Title Win
In Kevin Owens’ absence, the main event scene in WWE has seen some changes, not least that his friend Sami Zayn captured the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions. Owens said Zayn’s win was the biggest thing he wishes he had been able to witness during his 16-month absence. He also praised Zayn as being “THE best” and said him winning the title had become inevitable.
Unfortunately for anyone wanting to see Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn reignite their rivalry with the Undisputed WWE Title involved, Zayn’s reign was cut short at only nine days. CM Punk returned to Raw in Chicago and replaced an injured Cody Rhodes in the main event. This allowed him to complete his comeback by defeating Zayn for the championship.
