John Cena will be at WWE Backlash, and he has news that will “change the WWE experience.”
On May 4th, it was reported that the Benchmark International Arena has begun advertising that John Cena will appear at WWE Backlash in Tampa, Florida. While the 17-time World Champion had hinted at doing “something epic” at the show back in April, there had been no official announcement that he would make an appearance.
Now, Cena himself has taken to social media to confirm he will not only be at Backlash, but has history-making news that’s been months in the making.
“It’s official! I’m headed to #WWEBacklash! After months of planning and effort, I am SO excited to break some history-making news! I can’t promise it’ll be perfect but I can promise it will change the WWE experience for Superstars and fans!
C U Live Saturday in Tampa or at home on the @espn app!”
John Cena last appeared in WWE as the host of WrestleMania 42. The star signed a five-year contract to act as an ambassador for the company soon after his final match in December.
