John Cena could be set for an appearance at WWE Backlash, though nothing has been officially confirmed.
The Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, which is hosting the May 9 event, is currently advertising John Cena for the show, stating he will “return to Tampa at Backlash”. WWE has yet to announce his involvement on its own platforms.
Cena previously hinted at appearing shortly after WrestleMania 42, teasing that he planned to do “something epic” for fans at the event.
“I am still gonna try to do something epic in Tampa for 5/9,” he wrote, referencing WWE’s Club WWE fan experience.
