Hollywood star Jason Statham was among several notable names in attendance for WWE Raw in London last night. The actor, known for his roles in the Fast & Furious franchise alongside John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, was shown on camera during the broadcast and briefly addressed the crowd, praising the event and saying he had met several WWE stars backstage. Statham was not the only celebrity in attendance, as boxer Derek Chisora, UFC star Michael “Venom” Page, and several Zuffa Boxing talents were also spotted at the O2 Arena.
TNA Wrestling is reportedly planning to debut a former WWE star at TNA Slammiversary. According to PWInsider, the incoming talent has been described only as a “former multi-time singles champion,” with no further details about their identity revealed. The description leaves a wide range of possibilities, but PWInsider’s Mike Johnson noted that a new signing is indeed expected to debut at the pay-per-view, adding another layer of intrigue to TNA’s biggest event of the summer.
Nattie has added another achievement to her lengthy WWE career, revealing that she has been awarded a Guinness World Record for the most submission victories in WWE history. The WWE veteran shared footage of herself receiving the award on social media and used the opportunity to take a playful jab at NXT’s Jaida Parker, whom she defeated last week. Referencing her trademark Sharpshooter, Natalya celebrated the accomplishment while joking that Parker continues to collect losses as she continues to collect awards.
A new Guinness World Record from @GWR today: most submission wins of any man or woman in WWE history. The Sharpshooter has beaten the best of the best… and also @Jaida_Parkerwwe. I can still remember their faces when I rewatch how I won this award…fighting, struggling, losing.… pic.twitter.com/g4l2zbSRyB
