Jack Perry‘s future with AEW is reportedly the subject of ongoing contract negotiations.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Jack Perry’s current AEW contract has expired, and discussions are underway regarding a new deal. The report did not indicate how close the two sides are to reaching an agreement, nor did it address whether Perry has attracted interest from other promotions.
The update comes after speculation about Perry’s contract status surfaced online in May. At the time, Fightful Select reported that sources within AEW were unaware of any imminent contract situation involving the former AEW National Champion. Alvarez’s latest report suggests that Perry’s status is now an active issue behind the scenes.
Perry has not been featured prominently on AEW programming in recent weeks following the loss of the AEW National Championship.
His title reign came to an end on the May 9 edition of Collision: Fairway to Hell when Mark Davis defeated him with assistance from Don Callis and Ricochet. The loss ended Perry’s reign after 55 days as champion.
Perry returned later in the month for the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, but suffered another defeat to Davis on the May 27 episode of Dynamite.
Jack Perry’s AEW Tenure So Far
One of AEW’s original signings in 2019, Jack Perry initially rose to prominence as part of Jurassic Express alongside Luchasaurus. He later reinvented himself as a villain, capturing the FTW Championship and becoming one of the promotion’s most talked-about performers.
Perry was also at the centre of the backstage altercation involving CM Punk at All In 2023, an incident that ultimately led to Punk’s departure from AEW and Perry’s indefinite suspension.
After returning in 2024 as part of The Elite, Perry enjoyed another successful run before disappearing from television for several months. He eventually resurfaced in late 2025 and reunited with Luchasaurus.
