An injured WWE star appears to be making steady progress in their recovery despite recently suffering a nasty-looking injury during a gym workout.
Former WWE world champion Sheamus provided fans with a fresh update this week, sharing footage of himself training as he continues his rehabilitation from a shoulder injury that has sidelined him from action since November 2025.
Earlier this month, Sheamus sparked concern across social media when he posted photos showing blood streaming down his face and arm following an accident while working out. The 48-year-old veteran later revealed a heavily bandaged head and stitches, joking about the incident by writing:
“boards DO hit back #gymfail.”
While Sheamus never disclosed exactly what happened, the images quickly attracted attention from fans concerned that the setback could delay his long-awaited return to the ring.
However, the latest update suggests the injury may not have significantly impacted his recovery plans. Posting a video of himself on Twitter training while still wearing a bandage on his head, Sheamus appeared in good spirits as he continued preparing for a comeback. Alongside the footage, he wrote:
“Back on the [horse emoji] #lightwork [bandaged head emoji].”

Sheamus Was Sidelined From WWE With A Shoulder Injury
The update comes after several months of rehabilitation work for a shoulder injury that has sidelined the former WWE Champion since late last year. In recent months, Sheamus has regularly documented his progress, sharing training sessions from the WWE Performance Center and workouts with kickboxer Bernard Robinson.
Sheamus’s last match took place in November 2025, when he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio to defeat Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day.
Although WWE has not announced a timetable for his return, the latest footage suggests Sheamus remains firmly focused on getting back into the ring and that the recent gym accident has done little to slow his progress.
