Former WWE star Mansoor has revealed that Maximum Male Models was Vince McMahon‘s last idea before he resigned from the promotion.
During his time at the helm of WWE, Vince McMahon was a driving force behind many memorable characters that went on to become household names. While the results were less successful towards the end of his tenure, the former WWE Chairman continued to bring his ideas to life right up until his first retirement in 2022.
Now, in an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Mansoor has revealed that his Maximum Male Models tag team with Mason Madden – then known as Mace – was the last idea to come directly from McMahon.
“So it’s so interesting with the Maximum Male Models because we were Vince’s last idea, before he left the company. So we debuted and we were supposed to do those fashion show segments for weeks.
“Actually it’s a funny story, Vince had us go to house shows and do fashion show segments and I was like ‘Oh cool’ and then maybe somebody will come out and kick our b*tt, like toss us around. Nope, we would do our fashion show segments and leave and the crowds would be like ‘Huh? That’s it?’
Mansoor admitted that he still has no idea what the end goal for the segments was, as McMahon was replaced by Triple H before the storyline concluded.
“Like, it’s just two guys in shorts doing this (poses), this and this. I had no clue what was going on there but I don’t know what the end goal was. Vince then left and Hunter took over.”
Maximum Male Models continued to team in WWE until 2023, when both men were released from the company. They are currently signed to AEW, where they have been joined by Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie in the MxM TV faction.
Vince McMahon Agrees To $42.5 Million Settlement
Vince McMahon has agreed to pay $42.5 million to settle a lawsuit brought against him and WWE by shareholders. WWE will also pay $105 million towards the settlement. In the lawsuit, shareholders claimed that McMahon had improperly pushed through the 2023 sale/merger with Endeavor and didn’t seek the best deal for shareholders. Instead, he pursued a deal that would allow him to remain part of WWE.
