Former WWE star Doc Gallows was reportedly backstage at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite and Collision tapings in Nashville, according to PWInsider. There is no indication why Gallows was present or whether the visit is linked to a future AEW appearance. Since his WWE release in February, Gallows has returned to NJPW alongside Karl Anderson and also competed in MLW, while previously appearing for AEW during its partnership with TNA Wrestling in 2021.

Tony Khan has confirmed that Anna Jay has signed a new contract with AEW but is currently sidelined with an undisclosed injury. Speaking during the AEW Redemption media call, Khan revealed Jay underwent an MRI last week after last competing on the June 6 edition of AEW Collision, where she and Tay Melo unsuccessfully challenged for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship. Khan also confirmed that Melo has requested her release from AEW, which he intends to grant.
TNA Hall of Famer Abyss is set to receive his first WWE Mattel action figure despite never wrestling for WWE under the iconic character. The figure was unveiled by Ringside Collectibles at San Diego Comic-Con and comes after Abyss, whose real name is Chris Park, joined WWE as a producer in 2019 and was added to the WWE 2K video game series through the WWE-TNA partnership. The reveal was part of a wider Mattel showcase that also included new figures for Dominik Mysterio, Danhausen, CM Punk and several AAA stars.
