Cody Rhodes features prominently as Guile in the latest trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter movie, which is scheduled for release on October 16. The WWE star delivers several comedic lines in the footage, while Roman Reigns appears as Akuma and NJPW’s Hirooki Goto portrays E. Honda. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film stars Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken Masters and Callina Liang as Chun-Li, alongside Jason Momoa, 50 Cent, Eric Andre and Andrew Schulz. Set in 1993, the story centres around Ryu and Ken being recruited for the World Warrior Tournament while uncovering a wider conspiracy.
Adam Copeland has challenged Steve Maclin to a match at MLP Northern Rising in Toronto on October 3. Maclin caught Copeland’s attention after appearing on MLP Mayhem and describing Canadian wrestling as a feeder system for the United States while questioning why the country’s biggest stars had left. Copeland, who is already scheduled to make a rare independent wrestling appearance at the event, responded on social media and challenged the former Impact World Champion to face him at Maple Leaf Gardens. The AEW Tag Team Champion also emphasised his Canadian roots by joking that he “pi**es Molson beer and maple syrup.”

The August 24 episode of WWE Raw saw its Netflix viewership decline after several weeks of growth. The episode recorded 2.5 million global views, its lowest figure since July 27 but roughly in line with its rolling 10-week average. Total viewing time fell by 600,000 from the previous week to 4.4 million hours, which was below the 10-week average. The show featured an Oba Femi and Bron Breakker contract signing, Stephanie Vaquer’s first match since WrestleMania and two World Heavyweight Championship number one contender’s tournament semi-finals. Raw tied for sixth globally and ranked seventh in the United States.
