The results for last night’s episode of WWE Raw are in.
Last night’s WWE Raw took place from the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, on August 24, with Rey Fenix and Penta advancing to the final of the World Heavyweight Championship number one contender’s tournament.
LA Knight opened the show by calling out World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns before Solo Sikoa appeared and thanked Knight for helping him the previous week. The Usos interrupted, leading Sikoa to challenge his brothers to face him and Knight later in the night.
Stephanie Vaquer defeated Roxanne Perez despite interference from Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Becky Lynch came to ringside to counter Judgment Day’s involvement, although her presence briefly distracted Vaquer. Perez attempted to capitalise, but Vaquer avoided a moonsault and hit a butterfly backbreaker-lungblower combination for the victory. Lynch stared down Vaquer afterwards.
Rey Fenix then faced Dragon Lee in the first World Heavyweight Championship number one contender’s tournament semi-final. After a back-and-forth match that included Lee hitting a Styles Clash for a near fall, Fenix connected with the Mexican Muscle Buster to advance.
Oba Femi and Bron Breakker made their September 6 match at Sunday Night’s Main Event official during a contract signing overseen by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.
Breakker accused Femi of taking the position he previously occupied and promised to make him live in his shadow. Femi responded that Breakker could have been WWE’s future in another era, but not while competing against him.
Breakker eventually blindsided Femi before Austin Theory joined the fight. Femi recovered and sent Theory through the table before signing the contract and throwing it towards Breakker.
Big Cass defeated Je’Von Evans with a big boot. Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh attacked Evans afterwards, with Dominik adding a Frog Splash.
Penta secured the other place in the tournament final by defeating La Parka. Parka survived a Penta Driver and responded with a Spanish Fly from the top rope, but Penta eventually hit a springboard Mexican Destroyer for the victory.
Fenix came to the ring afterwards and stared down his brother before the pair shook hands. The winner of their final will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship in Mexico City on September 14.
Stephanie Vaquer was later informed backstage that she will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship in two weeks.
In the main event, The Usos faced Knight and Sikoa, but the match ended without a decisive winner when Royce Keys attacked Jey and Sikoa at ringside.
Bronco Nima and Lucien Price of OTM then joined Keys in a post-match assault. Knight was hit with a double neckbreaker before Keys delivered a spinebuster to Jimmy.
The attack continued outside the ring, culminating with Jimmy being sent through the announce desk. Keys and OTM stood tall as The Usos, Knight and Sikoa were left laid out to close Raw.
