An unlikely alliance has been confirmed for this week’s episode of AEW Collision, as Chris Jericho is set to team with MVP and the Hurt Syndicate in a trios match.
Chris Jericho will join forces with MVP, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley to face The Demand, following developments on AEW Dynamite.
The match was set up after Ricochet mocked Jericho, claiming he had no allies left due to past conflicts. Jericho responded by stating he did not need partners who liked him, only ones who had issues with Ricochet.
Later in the show, Jericho confirmed he had found teammates when MVP, Benjamin and Lashley emerged from his locker room, with MVP telling Jericho:
“It’s never personal. It’s just business.”
The pairing marks a notable shift given the reported tensions between Jericho and MVP in previous years, including incidents during their time in different promotions. However, the two are now aligned heading into Saturday’s show.
The Hurt Syndicate recently returned to AEW programming, picking up a victory on Collision after several months away, setting the stage for their involvement in the trios match.

Elsewhere on this Saturday’s Collision, AEW Trios Champions The Conglomeration will defend their titles against a Don Callis Family team of Andrade El Idolo, Lance Archer and Hechicero. National Champion Jack Perry is also scheduled to defend his title against El Clon.
A ten-man tag match has also been announced, with The Young Bucks and The Rascalz set to face The Dogs and The Death Riders.
In the women’s division, Women’s World Champion Thekla will team with Skye Blue against Persephone and Alex Windsor, while Kris Statlander is also advertised to appear.
Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision was taped following Dynamite in Portland, Oregon, last night and will air on TBS in the U.S. and on MyAEW.com internationally.
