Chelsea Green has responded to online criticism surrounding her planned appearance at UFC’s Freedom 250 Fan Fest event in Washington, D.C.
WWE announced during the latest episode of WWE Raw that Chelsea Green will appear at the event alongside stars including Charlotte Flair, The Miz, Trick Williams, Bron Breakker, Tiffany Stratton and The Usos.
The Freedom 250 Fan Fest is scheduled to take place June 13 and 14 on the South Lawn of the White House as part of UFC’s wider Freedom 250 celebration, headlined by a fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.
Following the announcement, Green faced criticism on social media from some fans who questioned her participation, citing the event’s political nature and its White House connection. Some critics also referenced Green’s previous public support for trans rights and broader human rights causes.
One social media user reposted an older message from Green supporting trans rights alongside the comment:
“guess the check cleared.”
Chelsea Green Said That Doing Her Job And Supporting Human Rights “Are Not Mutually Exclusive”
Chelsea Green later responded directly to the criticism on social media:
“Doing my job and supporting the community are not mutually exclusive,” Green wrote. “I’ll continue to do what I can to advocate for human rights whether you approve or not.”
Her response sparked further debate online, with some fans defending her position and others arguing that the appearance conflicted with views she has publicly supported. The crossover event is part of a growing collaboration between WWE and UFC following both companies coming under the TKO Group Holdings umbrella.
