WWE NXT has confirmed a high-stakes stipulation match for its upcoming part two Revenge special, with a championship clash set to escalate a heated rivalry.
Tatum Paxley will defend the WWE NXT Women’s North American Championship against Blake Monroe in a Casket Match on April 21. The bout was made official on the April 14 episode of NXT, with General Manager Robert Stone announcing that Paxley had agreed to a rematch but would choose the stipulation herself.
The rivalry between Paxley and Monroe has intensified in recent weeks. Paxley initially retained her title against Izzi Dame in a steel cage match in March, only for Monroe to launch a shocking post-match attack, dragging her through a trap door beneath the entrance ramp and stealing the championship.
Paxley later regained the title at NXT Stand & Deliver 2026, but Monroe has continued to escalate the feud, scoring a win in mixed tag team action and carrying a custom version of the championship.
WWE NXT Confirmed Casket Match In Backstage Segment
During a backstage segment on WWE NXT, Tatum Paxley explained her decision to select the stipulation, accusing Blake Monroe of refusing to let the rivalry end.
“No matter what I do, she finds a way to call herself the champion… I’m gonna send Blake Monroe and that fake title to hell where they belong,” Paxley said.
Moments later, a large casket was unveiled, confirming the match type.
