Brie Bella has criticised how Paige’s WWE return was revealed ahead of WrestleMania 42, stating she believes the information came from someone backstage.
Paige made her comeback at WrestleMania, replacing Nikki Bella and teaming with Brie Bella to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles. However, reports of her return surfaced before the show, including details that she had signed a longer-term deal with WWE.
Speaking on the Nikki & Brie Show, Brie addressed the situation and expressed frustration that the surprise had been spoiled.
“The Paige stuff got leaked from a stooge, and I will find out who saw it earlier in the week,” Brie said. “Something like that, just let things be special and a secret. Who runs and tells people?”
She added that moments like Paige’s return are intended to be kept under wraps to preserve their impact, particularly on a major stage such as WrestleMania. Brie also criticised the wider culture around breaking wrestling news, suggesting some are more focused on attention than protecting key moments.
“I’m talking about people who have run to TMZ and saw something they wanna break about someone’s personal life. It’s about clicks and impressions, so they wanna be breaking news. You didn’t break anything.”
Brie Bella Wants To Find Who Is Responsible For The Leak
Brie Bella concluded by indicating she intends to find out who was responsible for the leak, noting she remembers who had access to the information at the time.
“I will say this, it’s actually sad… I’m gonna find that stooge, though, because I remember everyone who was there.”
