Despite recent speculation, Roman Reigns reportedly remains firmly part of WWE’s long-term plans.
Questions surrounding Roman Reigns’ future emerged after WWE quietly stopped advertising him for several June live events, leading to rumours that the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion could potentially be affected by the company’s recent contract restructuring efforts.
The speculation intensified following the departures of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, who reportedly left WWE after declining revised contract offers amid broader cost-cutting measures linked to TKO Group Holdings.
However, according to Fightful Select, Reigns’ listing for the June dates was simply an advertising error rather than a sign of any backstage issue regarding his WWE status.
The report added that there is currently no internal concern within WWE or TKO about Reigns leaving the company, with “The Tribal Chief” said to remain heavily involved in creative plans moving forward.
Roman Reigns Is Set To Defend His World Heavyweight Title At Backlash
Roman Reigns is currently scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu at WWE Backlash this Saturday from the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, Florida. While Reigns is reportedly not expected to compete at WWE’s next Saudi Arabia premium live event following Backlash, the direction of his schedule beyond this weekend remains unclear.
