AJ Styles has revealed what would bring him out of retirement.
In a recent interview, AJ Styles raised the possibility of having “one comeback match.” The recently retired star claimed that wrestlers are often granted one more match, so fans should “never say never” about him wrestling again.
On the latest edition of The AJ Styles Show, the Phenomenal One opened up a bit more on how he thought such a match could come about, saying it would likely involve his son, Avery, who recently made his in-ring debut.
“But how long is it going to take my son or sons to get in the position where I’m able to do this show with them that matters? If it doesn’t matter, I’ll be honest with you, I’m probably not going to come back for an indie show. I mean, even if it’s to wrestle with my boys. I probably do not want to do that.
“I don’t mind being a special guest, like a manager kind of thing, but if I do come back, hopefully I’m not 60 and it’s on a big show. I would definitely let, who wouldn’t, what father wouldn’t want to come back and tag with his sons? So I don’t know if that opportunity will come because it depends how long it’s going to take him.”
AJ Styles Explains Recent Coaching Role
