This week’s AEW Dynamite comes to you from Masonic Temple theatre from Detroit. Three championship matches comes your way with the TBS Championship, National Championship and Trios Championship all on the line. We’ll also hear from AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, and newly crowned Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale following their victory on Sunday at Redemption and much more.
The show started with a promo package recaping the aftermath of the main event interlapped with Mox backstage telling Ospreay to “get him before he gets you”. After that we cut back live with Will running into the Death riders, Will officially proclaims that he’s out of the Death riders and walked right into Hangman after where he offered help which Will politely declined. All things considered a very noteworthy segment covering different based and establishes Will on his own before ALL IN.
Andrade vs Jack Perry vs Nicky Wayne – National Championship
Jack immediately tried to pull a fast one with a superkick on the champion and rolling up Nick. Being a triple threat, none of the three men was able to get control for an extended period of time. Case in point, Perry hit a diving hurricanrana to Andrade outside only to turn around and eat a diving code red from Nick. Moves galore with all three getting their moves in with Andrade eventually getting the win with The DM. As far as first defences, a very good one by Andrade with both challengers showing off.
Winner – Andrade
Post match, Tony Schiavone interviewed Andrade. He keeps mentioning screwing MJF and the DCF, before Tony pivoted to saying there will be a Casino Gauntlet match at All In and there will be a match next week at Grandslam Mexico to secure a the #1 spot.
Cut to backstage with the Brawling Birds who tell Divine Dominion they talk too much before telling them to step up as the Birds will look to take the titles soon. Setting up a potential hometown win at All In for the two women.
After the break, we catch up backstage with the Don Callis Family but the tension quickly heats up as Kyle Fletcher addresses defending the International Championship all by himself at Redemption, but he is cut off by Kevin Knight. This leads to a brief confrontation with between the two men before Okada shows his head to reassure everyone the International Title will stay in the Family. The International title match for All in looks to be Fletcher vs Okada vs Takeshita I’m assuming.
Don Callis Family (Fletcher, Cage, Doyle) vs Brodido and Mike Bailey
The faces where showing out until the DCF secured after Brian Cage hit Bandido with a powerbomb to the ring post . It lead to a control segment where Fletcher got enough time to showboat until a hot tag to Brody King opened things up. We get a preview of next week’s International championship match with Fletcher and Bailey exchanging moves in the middle of it. A 21 plex attempt by Bandido was interrupted by a massive fist by Doyle, a distracted Doyle did not notice Speedball tagging in who hit an Ultima Weapon and covered him with a unique roll up for the win. A staredown between Fletcher and Bailey followed ahead of next week’s match.
Winners – Brodido and Mike Bailey
Following this was a sitdown interview by Renee Paquette between AEW World Tag team champs Adam Copeland and Christian Cage against their challengers for All In, The Young Bucks. Cope and Bucks mention how much this match means to them and the respect they share. Cage however wanted to make a point saying they weren’t trying to have a retirement tour and is trying to prove that they’re still the best tag team. This got things heated up a little bit, things didn’t get physical but by the end of the interview it wasn’t exactly the rosy vibe that it started with. Can’t wait, truly a dream match.
Maya World vs Persephone – TBS Championship
A lot of smooth exchanges between the two women, the crowd were definitely into it with dueling chants. Persephone got ahead of the match by planting Maya’s face on the apron. Maya looked like she was about to start a comeback but a fallaway slam by the challenger put an end to that. Shida showed up sneakily throwing a kendo stick tonuse but Persephone couldn’t as Statlander was there to take it away. It was afterall Persephone who costed Statlander the title few weeks ago. Maya got the win with her and Statlander standing tall after the bell. Decent first defence for the young champ and gets the ball rolling for two separate feuds in the division, good stuff.
Winner – Maya World
An enraged Mark Davis backstage addresses losing the National Championship as well as throwing out the challenge for Will Ospreay next week and promises to leave the Don Callis Family in the back to settle things once and for all.
We get to the ring with Renee Paquette introducing the new AEW Women’s World Champion Willow Nightingale for her title celebration. “You deserve it” chants from the crowd. She reflects on her journey throughout all the struggles and set backs on her way. She gives the fans some advice, saying if she ever gets knocked around don’t you dare give up. She is interrupted by Mercedes Mone, She makes her way to the ring with her contract for the title match at All In asking Willow to sign which she promptly did. A War of Words followed, the Divine Dominon made an appearance and laid out by the three women before the Birds made the save.
Jon Moxley vs Komander – Continental Championship
Komander looked to roll up Moxley for a quick victory but was unsuccessful, he continued to showcase his wild athelticism in the opening section of the match but it wasn’t long before Mox had enough and took the control in the match. Komander actually had moments where it looked like he might but it was not to be, Mox got out the way of Cielito Lindo attempt and finished things off with the Death Rider and a bulldog choke to retain the championship. Komander continues to impress everytime he steps in the ring, surely a big win is around the corner
Winner – Jon Moxley
Mick Foley is backstage with the Bang Bang Gang minus Jay White following the Dog chain match on Sunday. Juice Robinson still irate threw the challenge down for tomorrow night’s Collision
The Conglomeration vs The Demand
The action started off with Kaun not even finishing the entrance and immediately rand down. An all out brawl followed inside and outside between the 6 men, the match then officially started with Orange and Toa Liona after it subsided. The challengers eventually got the match under control with Roderick Strong in the ring, who was going on a tear up until that point. In the end, the Lethal Twist take advantage of a ref distraction, while Ricochet gets the tag and hits the Spirit Gun on O’Reilly for the win. The Conglomeration had a good run with the titles, excited to see what the The Demand have in store.
Winners – The Demand
We cut to outside the Theatre, where the Death Riders address their opponents for Collision as well as the situation with Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega. Commentary mentions Ospreay is scheduled to face Daniel Garcia on Collision based on what happened at the start of the show.
Kenny Omega is introduced to a huge pop by the audience. He was starting to say something but we’ll never know what it is as he is interrupted by his opponent at Wembley in Will Ospreay. Omega emphasizes that he always prioritized their friendship over titles, letting Ospreay into the 2026 Owen Hart Tournament out of kindness. However, Ospreay’s accusation that Omega “gave up on himself” cut deep. Omega mocks Ospreay for ignoring his warnings about the Death Riders, asking for his excuse now that it backfired. Ospreay responds that returning early from neck surgery left him feeling defeated until the Death Riders gave him new life. He grew to respect their philosophy, but couldn’t stand by at Redemption and watch Omega get injured like he was.
Omega counters that while waiting trapped under a chair, he realized why Ospreay hesitated to save him. Accusing Ospreay of only caring about the AEW World Championship, Omega slaps him repeatedly and asserts Ospreay will always be a step behind. An enraged Ospreay shoves Omega, warning he’ll take him out if touched again. He declares that he carried AEW in Omega’s absence and promises that when he “pulls the trigger” for England, Omega will see it coming.
