Saturday’s AEW Collision was taped after last night’s AEW Dynamite episode, and spoilers for Collision have been revealed.
The final AEW Collision before Forbidden Door on Sunday was taped on Wednesday night, following Dynamite, at the Rio Rancho Events Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The spoilers, courtesy of PWInisder, are as follows:
The June 27 episode featured several matches designed to build momentum heading into Sunday’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view, along with an announcement regarding the Buy-In pre-show.
Jericho opened the tapings by defeating JD Drake, while Athena and Mercedes Mone teamed up to defeat Hyan and Maya World. Athena secured the winning fall for her team.
A new match was also confirmed for the Forbidden Door Buy-In, with Skye Blue announcing that she will face STARDOM’s Maika for the sixth and final spot in the TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest match.
Elsewhere, Mistico and “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated The Premier Athletes in tag team action.
Persephone successfully retained the CMLL Women’s Championship by defeating Billie Starkz, while Jake Doyle picked up a singles victory over Adam Priest.
Kevin Knight also built momentum ahead of Forbidden Door by defeating Dezmond Xavier.
In the show’s main event, The Conglomeration defeated The Opps after Orange Cassidy pinned Anthony Bowens, sending his team into Forbidden Door with a victory.
