No tag team has been as challenging in the National Wrestling Alliance as Carnage and Damage of Blunt Force Trauma. Under the guidance of Aron Stevens, they have cut down the opposition numerous times. Currently, their toughest rivals to date have been Kratos and Odinson of The Immortals. But at The Looks that Kill signature event, Odinson will not be in Kratos’ corner as he is out with an injury after their last match against Daisy Kill and Talos.
Who will be able to partner with Kratos in the main event?
We’ll find out later tonight as we come to you from the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan, AL. Joe Galli and Danny Dealz have the call for the start of the Looks that Kill signature event, and your First Match of the Night is a four-way match between…
Hunter Drake vs. Lev vs. Alex Misery vs. Slade (with Rolando)
This match is to determine who will be the number one contender for the NWA Junior Heavyweight title. Also of note is that Lev and Misery are in the same match, and as Galli noted, Lev must show his fealty to Misery.
Right from the get-go, there are all sorts of high spots in the squared circle. Once the dust settles, Misery whips Lev into Slade in the corner and gives him a running back elbow. Before he can continue, Misery commands him to get down on all fours and Lev grudgingly obliges as he gets used as a stepstool to launch himself onto Slade before going over the top rope. Drake is still in the match as he tries to pin Lev for a near fall and Misery pulls him out of the ring. Slade tries a waistlock, and Drake switches and gets a roll-up for a two count and then dives and takes down Misery and Lev. He leaps back up the apron and comes back with a springboard missile dropkick on Slade for another count of two. Now there is some double team action as Lev and Misery briefly get on the same page and nail Drake with a spinning neckbreaker. Lev covers but Misery pulls him off and makes sure he knows his place in the grand scheme of things. As he continues to badmouth Lev, Slade comes from behind and gives him a German suplex. Lev comes back and twists Slade into a reverse STF. He has him dead center of the squared circle until Misery stomps him in the breadbasket. Now Rolando gets in Misery’s grille, and while that is taking place Slade uses the distraction and takes out Lev and powerbombs Misery on the apron edge. Back in the ring, Slade zeroes on Drake, hits the Kryptonite Crunch, and then locks in the Slade Lock (a kneeling inverted sharpshooter) and Drake has no choice but to tap out.
Your Winner via Submission, and New Number One Contender: Slade
Earlier, Kyle Davis spoke with Mike Mondo about his beef with Burchill and he laid it out for us. He claims that twenty years ago, he offered his hand to Burchill and he snubbed it. Ever since then, Mondo took that sleight personally. Because of that he explains he has trained 24/7, 365 days a year to be the best and Mondo wants it known to the NWA fans when he gets in the ring, it’s not only his time. It’s Gut Check Time.
Speaking of which, let’s head back to ringside for the match between…
Mike Mondo vs. Burchill
Both men circle the ring and then lock up and jockey for position. After the ref signals for a break, Mondo kicks him in the corner and keeps up the intensity. Burchill is no shrinking violet as a series of short arm clotheslines by the Ripper stops Mondo’s momentum. He follows with an atomic drop and tosses Mondo to the outside. As he climbs back in the ring, he gives Burchill a thumb to the eye and then goes up top for a double axe handle smash. He catches Mondo in the gut for his version of “Gut Check Time” and then Burchil whips him into the corner. He attempts another Irish whip to the other side and it gets reversed. Mondo lands with a splash and then proceeds to stomp him in the corner. He traps his arm and leg and keeps on stomping until the ref pulls him away. Burchill tries to fight back but Mondo keeps him grounded. He finally gets up to a vertical base and stages a comeback as he nails Mondo with a high German suplex. Two more completes the hat trick as Burchill covers but gets a two count. Mondo gives a knee to Burchill and hits the ropes, but gets caught in an inside cradle for a close two count. He goes to the high-rent district for a high-risk maneuver but Mondo trips him up and sends Burchill down with a superplex for another near fall. Burchill tries to end things and gets Mondo in a waistlock. Mondo grabs the ref by the collar and while he is distracted nails a mule kick to Burchill in the nethers and he gets the tainted win.
Your Winner via Pinfall: Mike Mondo
There is a vignette of the attacks by EC3 and Tiffany Nieves on Thom Latimer and Natalia Markova, respectively. Their actions necessitated their feud will be resolved in a steel cage match which will be shown next week on “X.”
Speaking of which, EC3 is in the ring with Kyle Davis and the OverMan speaks:
“You know, I feel like a stranger in a strange land, and there is no land stranger (in a southern accent) than Dothan, Alabama. Am I right?
Thom Latimer has the most prestigious championship in wrestling lore, the NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship. And why is it the most prestigious championship in wrestling lore? Because of the one year I, EC3, put in as the Overman. Conquering towns, conquering cities, conquering states, conquering countries, conquering continents, and conquering the world.
But I know now what I must do, because men and women, you follow three things: You follow fear. You follow your self-interests. But most importantly, what you will follow is grand spectacles and at The Looks That Kill, I will…”
He gets cut off and freezes in the center of the ring as the music hits and Latimer comes out. He keeps it short and sweet and tells EC3 he will beat him within an inch in the steel cage. EC3 takes that moment to head out of the ring and we will see what culminates next week…
It’s time for the Main Event and as Blunt Force Trauma gets ready, commentary speculates who will stand beside Kratos. Faster than you can say “Timeless” Toni Storm, the screen goes black and white and we know who will step up as this tag team match is between…
Blunt Force Trauma (Carnage and Damage, with Aron Stevens) vs. Kratos and Baron Von Storm
As they disrobe, Blunt Force Trauma jumps them from behind. Damage whips Storm into the corner and before he can close the distance The Iron Claw comes out. Damage decides this is a good time to take a powder so Stevens can help them re-strategize.
The fans keep chanting, “Claw!” as Damage heads back to the ring. He hammers away but cannot overcome the Baron. Storm sends him to the corner and gets a tag to Kratos and The Most Feared whips him to the corner and nails a running forearm. Kratos is in no hurry with one-half of Blunt Force Trauma as he chops his chest and then suplexes Damage across the ring. Another whip to the ropes and Damage reverses. Kratos gets bumped by Carnage and that distraction allows Damage to finally take control. Blunt Force Trauma cut the ring in half and Kratos is an Immortal in Peril. At one point Storm interjects, and that allows Kratos to drill Carnage with a powerslam. Before he can make the hot tag, Storm gets tripped by Damage. Carnage comes back with a superkick and Kratos retaliates with a running knee. Now Kratos gets the hot tag and the Baron is all Storm und Drang. He cinches Damage in the Trap City submission of Jax Dane, and Stevens gets up on the apron to cause a stir. He gets too close and that allows Storm to grip his cranium in The Iron Claw. Blunt Force Trauma sends Kratos out of the ring and Damage chop blocks Storm while he still has the grip on Stevens. This makes him collapse backward with Stevens on top and he and Damage stack up as the ref counts the one, two, and three.
Your Winner via Pinfall: Blunt Force Trauma
Storm still has the Claw on after the match, despite Blunt Force Trauma’s efforts to pry him off. He only releases the submission when Kratos shows him the globe he carried with him earlier in the ring and finally comes to his senses. Carnage and Damage cart off a visibly disheveled Stevens, making him the true definition of a sore winner as the show goes to the credits.

Final Thoughts:
A shorter show than normal, but it went at a brisk pace. The four-way was a lot to cover, and Burchill/Mondo looks to be setting up something big down the road. Storm was an ideal choice given Odinson’s medical status (and we all know the fate of Jax Dane). The promo between EC3/Latimer ahead of the steel cage match added more anticipation, and we’ll see how it shapes up next Tuesday. Until then, see you there!
