It’s finally here … 2025 Topps Chrome WWE is live and it’s red hot! As I’ve been writing about since the start of the new year, when Topps and WWE officially announced their new, multiyear partnership, 2025 Topps Chrome WWE is arguably the most highly anticipated new set of wrestling cards since Panini and Upper Deck launched their inaugural sets for WWE and AEW (respectively) in 2022.

Ever since the product officially hit the streets on January 31, 2025, social media and WWE programming has been jam packed with ads and images of the wrestling cards collectors and on-air talent have pulled from packs of 2025 Topps Chrome WWE.

Without a doubt, the most electrifying cards in 2025 Topps Chrome WWE are The Rock’s first official WWE autograph cards since 1998, and while several of them have already been pulled by lucky collectors, including a jaw dropping autograph of “The Final Boss” pulled on pro wrestling referee Brandon Tolle’s Zebra Breaks stream (@RefBrandonTolle), there’s still a number of these and many other monster hits yet to be found in packs.

Like so many other wrestling collectors, serious and casual alike, I was chomping at the bit to open some of WWE’s first Topps trading cards since 2021, so while I unfortunately missed out on pre-ordering a full hobby box (but not without trying), I was able to purchase a megabox of these cards, which I opened on the day I also received my order of Topps NOW WWE cards from the first Raw on Netflix.

A megabox of 2025 Topps Chrome WWE is less of an investment than a full hobby box, which are now sold out just about everywhere but eBay, where the going rate is about $300 per box (retail was $159.99), but you also get fewer packs in a megabox, and you aren’t guaranteed an autograph, so the likelihood of a big hit is less, but still, I just wanted to open some packs, and I’m happy that I did.

In my first of six packs in my megabox of 2025 Topps Chrome WWE, the pack began with base cards of Mick Foley and Cody Rhodes, and these are just stellar looking cards. Clean and crisp and “chef’s kiss.” Topps owns the “Chrome” trademark, and for good reason. Some collectors may prefer Panini, and I’m obviously a big fan of Upper Deck, Leaf, and various independent wrestling cards, but Topps Chrome is like the Coca-Cola of trading cards. They’re as mainstream as it gets but they consistently release an inarguably excellent product.

After these base cards, I pulled an Iron Sheik WrestleMania Recall insert, which oddly looked a little washed out, a Myles Borne X-fractor parallel, and a Dragon Lee refractor, on which he looks a little like Batman.

In my second pack, I pulled another Iron Sheik WrestleMania insert, but this one was a blue parallel numbered out of 150, and this version of the card looked great. I also pulled X-fractors of Fallon Henley and Kayden Carter. You get at least one X-fractor in every pack in a megabox, so there’d be more of these to come.

My third pack included an Allen & Ginter insert featuring the Iron Sheik’s dear friend and everyone’s favorite beer salesman, Hulk Hogan. Allen & Ginter is a long-running baseball set inspired by tobacco cards, and Topps wrestling sets of years past have included Allen & Ginter cards, so I’m glad to see these make a comeback. I also pulled Akira Tozawa and Nikkita Lyons X-fractors in this pack.

In the next pack I pulled my best card out of the box, a Je’von Evans NXT autograph numbered out of 150. I really love this card and the way that it looks. The blue and orange colors and design really pop, and since you’re not guaranteed an autograph in a megabox, I was really happy to get this. In addition to this, I pulled a Braun Strowman insert modeled after the classic 1985 Topps WWF set, an Isla Dawn X-fractor, and a Wendy Choo refractor.

In pack five, I pulled a Roman Reigns Title Town insert card and X-fractors of Carmelo Hayes and Jimmy Uso.

And in my sixth and final pack of 2025 Topps Chrome WWE, I pulled an Allen & Ginter refractor of Diamond Dallas Page and Tyler Bate and Alba Fyre X-fractors.

Before I knew it, I finished opening the six packs of wrestling cards in my megabox, but I’m confident they won’t be the last packs I rip. 2025 Topps Chrome WWE is an awesome new wrestling card product. Collectors of all ilk are rightfully excited about it, as am I, and I’m can’t wait to see what WWE product Topps releases next.
