A contract dispute has been confirmed as what is holding back Alexa Bliss’ return to WWE.
PWInsider in their report states: “We are told that Bliss has been seeking a new contract, while WWE expects Bliss to return under the terms of her older, existing deal.”
Word is that Bliss was on her way back to WWE but her representatives contacted the WWE about creating a new contract for their client. They weren’t interested in the old deal she had with the promotion.
With both sides at loggerheads WWE pulled all creative plans surrounding Bliss’ return and her social media has deleted all WWE references.
Bliss has been away from WWE after giving birth to her daughter in 2023. Her last match for WWE was at the Royal Rumble in 2023 where she challenged Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship. Belair retained.
Bliss is currently being featured in the Netflix anime series Sakamoto Days as the voice of Obiguro, the wife of the retired assassin, Sakamoto.
