Shawn Hernandez, known simply as ‘Hernandez’ in TNA/Impact Wrestling, has been accused of misconduct towards several female wrestlers.
Brandon Oliver, a promoter at River City Wrestling wrote this on Facebook:
“I don’t worry about a guy that ruined his career. I’m not worried about a guy who has said “the only reason why a girl should be on the show is if they pay you or give you ass.” Your toxicity is well known, I don’t even need to say anything. All of Texas knows about you and Spector. Blowjobs for bookings? Who’s the creepy one? Ordering Spector to hook up with the photographer? Who told Andy Dalton to pee on a girl in wrestling to avoid getting heat? Where’s the hoes at? Your after parties??? Tired of protecting you, Shawn Hernandez. It’s time you get exposed. Feel free to post comments for those that want to share. You are right about one thing. I wish I had the courage to ditch your ass sooner.”
That was soon followed by Reyna Pink’s post. She is a current RCW talent:
“Let me add to this as someone who was there… only one person had the book when Hernandez was at RCW. He bullied and forced himself on every female that came through the locker room. He has videos in his phone, what he calls a “who’s who of Texas women’s wrestling” that he threatens to expose if you expose him. Well guess what mf I ain’t got shit to lose either. The creeps are no longer on the show, and never I’ll be again. We no longer have you ordering talent to piss and threaten talent that gets a tna opportunity that you weren’t a part of or didn’t control. Talk about “sucka free”. I no longer have you sending porn to my phone and telling me how “I’m not ready” every time I say I don’t want to blow you,” she wrote.
“I’ve held my tongue for years… I can keep going. I am so glad that my girls do not have any idea of what any of us old ladies were told what we had to do to get an opportunity. I took the verbal and physical abuse and sexual abuse so that no one would have to again. F–k you. On God, I won’t stop speaking my truth. You know where to find me, so you can’t cut the talking shit on the Internet and roll up. You call yourself thug life, roll up bitch. Then you can stop playing a Mexican on tv.. you’re not any good at it,” she continued.
A former RCW talent Megan Dowell then added her perspective: “Shawn was mentally and sexually abusive to me for YEARS! I was too naive at first but when I started dating another co-worker he cornered me before a show AT A CHURCH and demanded I blow him or was off the show and would get no more assistance from anyone at RCW. Then he demanded I end my relationship. I avoided him like the plague.”
Dowell defended promoter Oliver and claimed Hernandez has videos on his phone that he blackmails talent with, videos that he filmed without their consent.
“I am done pretending I didn’t go to hell and back. I had real friends that pulled me out of my spiral after that….No longer will I ever allow ANYONE to have power over me,” she concluded.
Hernandez has not responded to the accusations.
