Riddle admits affair, denies assault in new video

Matt Riddle has taken to Twitter to speak about the allegation made by wrestler Candy Cartwright.

Cartwright claims Riddle forced her to pleasure him in a van full of wrestlers before Riddle joined the WWE.

“In my entire life, I have never sexually assaulted a man, woman, anybody and that includes Candy Cartwright,” stated Riddle.

In the video, Riddle addresses Cartwright directly.

“I never assaulted you. The story about that van trip and the driver being asleep and me forcing you to do stuff and “hop on here” is a complete lie, a fabricated story because you are still mad,” said Riddle.

Riddle admits that he had an affair with Cartwright, cheated on his wife and it is not something he is proud of or would brag about.

Riddle claims he became sad and depressed because of their “fling” and all of the lying he had to do.

“I feel like a real piece of crap cheating on my wife and doing that, and now having to talk about it publicly,” said Riddle.

Riddle claims he broke it off with Cartwright but she continued to try to contact him, has harassed his friends, family.

“At this point if you don’t realize you are stalking me or harassing me you are crazy!” said Riddle.

Riddle accuses Cartwright of using the #speakingout movement to try to ruin his career.

A few weeks ago Riddle’s attorney David J. Rose released a statement saying:

“The allegations by this independent female performer are completely false and another attempt to harass and humiliate Mr. and Mrs. Riddle and to try to tarnish their reputation in the community.”

“We have been aware for the last two years of this performer stalking the Riddle family. In 2019, our firm drafted a pleading against this performer to seek an injunction for cyberstalking in the Circuit Court of Orange County, Florida.”
