Pro wrestler Gary Albright died in the ring at an independent show in Pennsylvania on Friday night.
Albright, a regular competitor in All Japan Pro Wrestling, was working a show for Afa The Wild Samoan when he collapsed in the ring.
Albright was nailed with an Ace Crusher and immediately collapsed to the mat. Wrestlers and ring crew tried to resuscitate him with CPR before medical personnel took over the proceedings.
Albright died shortly after being removed from the ring by hospital gurney. The rest of the show was cancelled.
North American fans would best remember Albright from his days in Stu Hart’s Calgary Stampede promotion. He also worked a few shots for ECW a few years ago.
