On this NWA Powerrr, Pope tries to guide Big Strong Mims to the top of the mountain, and he will be in his corner as he faces Carnage of Blunt Force Trauma. Plus, Natalia Markova seeks revenge against the Giant Gretta, who helped knock her out to allow Tiffany Nieves to pin The Crush to claim The Burke at the Crockett Cup.

Will The Crush become victorious in the main event?

We’ll find out tonight in the National Wrestling Alliance. But first, a recap of what happened last week: The Country Gentlemen defeated The Immortals to become NWA Tag Team champs. Joe then celebrates with the Cazana boys and says they proved to those idiot fans they were champs, and they did it by the book.

Kill taunts Legursky and sends him out of the ring, and it’s just a free-for-all from pillar to post. JAC and Legursky come to blows, so say goodbye for now to the former tag team of Red, White, and JAC’d.
America’s Superheavyweight gives quadruple hip tosses as Galli calls him “Liberty’s Leviathan”, and I cannot unhear or unsee that.

The end comes as Misery lands with a crossbody, and all four men dog pile on, and the ref makes the three count. But the man who gets the belt is…

Your Winner: Alex Misery

Since he was the first man on top of Legursky, that is why Misery gets the strap. Kill disputes the call (as would I, but then again, I’m not the booker). In the meantime, Eric Smalls is in the ring to come in for another shot at Kill’s…err, little Daisies, and I agree with commentary: This feud between Daisy Kill and Eric Smalls seems to have no end.

There are more snippets from the NWA Training Seminar, and Carson Drake and Mike Mondo share words of β€œwisdom” on doing fundamentals… unlike Tyler Franks. He asks any of the trainees if they want to step up. Some unlucky soul does, and Drake chokes him out. “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason puts a stop to that, but then The Country Gentlemen come up and the numbers favor them, until Thom Latimer and Bryan Idol even the odds.

Carnage vs. Big Strong Mims (with Da Pope)

Carnage tries to sneak attack once the bell rings, but Mims is ready for him. It’s all for naught as the masked man takes control. At this point, two guys in white masks come out to watch. Before I can ask What in the name of the Wu Tang Clan did these two slip off the 36th Chamber album cover (YouTube it, kids),” we learn these men are identified as The Light.

Okay. Let’s roll with that.

Clothesline and shoulder tackle by Mims, but a powerslam in midair stops the momentum.

A spear by Mims gets a two count, and then he signals for a heart punch, but Carnage rakes his eyes and spears him for a near fall. Mims gets a Tracy Smothers special to the throat and a whip to the ropes, but Carnage delivers a standing dropkick, and that’s all she wrote.

Once again, it looks like Pope and Mims need to head back to the drawing board.

Carson Drake is back with another Carson Drake Experience podcast with his first female guest, Gretta. While he goes for the hard-hitting questions, she remains strong and silent.

Kyle Davis is with The Slimeballz with a major announcement, and they want to give a title shot to some up-and-comers at the Presidents of the United States Tag Team champs. Therefore, it’s gonna get slimy for the…

NWA U.S. Tag Championship: The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant)(c) vs. Jack Valor and Eddie Grayson

Aron Stevens is in the crowd, watching from (very) afar in the crowd at his young charges.

Rant and Grayson start, and he wants to headbang, but Grayson superkicks him hard.

Chantz tags in but gets double team action from Jack n’ Eddie as the duo gives him a missile dropkick/flatliner combo.

As Stevens still tries to avoid any association with Chantz and Rant, Valor and Grayson are more than a match for The Slimeballz, until Valor gets tripped up on the top rope by Rant. Valor punches Chantz, and Grayson comes in with the hot tag. Now things get slimy as Chantz pushes him to the corner, where Rant nails a bull’s eye with a spitball and then the Snotrocket allows them to retain.

We see how Gretta helped Nieves get The Burke at the Crockett Cup. Then, at the NWA Training Session, La Princesa and Ms. Starr strategize on her next opponent, while Gretta is ready to put the hurt on Chantz.

That leads to a video montage of the accomplishments Trevor Murodch has done, which was very well done:

He also had some words to the NWA Roster before the show at the PowerrrStation, and here’s what he had to say:

“I wanted to take this time before the show and talk to the whole locker room. I was here on the first show, and here I stand before you seven years later. I have memories that I never thought would ever happen for me. When I came to the NWA, no one looked at me and said, ‘Trevor, you’re going to be the NWA world champion, not only once but twice.’

I’m looking right at you there, ThrillBilly. You remember these moments, bro. Every single ounce of it, because one day you’re going to walk into this ring, and you’re going to look out at the audience, and at the roster, and everybody’s going to be younger than you, stronger than you, faster than you, maybe even meaner than you. I’m hoping at the very least, people will remember I was here at the beginning.”

Alex Taylor and “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason talk about the future of the Southern Six. Big Daddy Thrill sees no future because, as far as he’s concerned, Kerry Morton killed it. Before they can get into it some more, Thom Latimer comes in and respectfully asks if El DragΓ³n Nihan can get a shot at the Ten Pounds. Mason says consider it, but there are other fish to fry at the moment.

Tommy Henry tries to broker peace with his daughters, Kenzie and Kylie Paige, but it doesn’t go so well. Henry finally lays down the law and tells them to get it together so that they can challenge for the NWA Women’s World tag titles.

The Paige sisters make peace…but for how long?

Tiffany Nieves is out with her TVMA team, and La Princesa has arrived, and they don’t deserve her. She is the best at everything, and she is your Women’s World Championship, unlike Markova, who she claims didn’t bleed or sweat as she did. She doesn’t want to acknowledge her, but she has her enforcer take care of her.

With that, your Main Event is…

Gretta (with Tiffany Nieves and Ms. Starr) vs Natalia Markova

This is a very one-sided affair, as Gretta womanhandles the former champ. Markova puts up a valiant fight, but she is clearly outsized by this TVMA mammoth

She tosses her hard into the turnbuckles and then throws her outside to cause more damage with a giant swing that would make Claudio Castagnoli jealous. From there, that leads to…

Ads (where Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox talk up Franks to make sure he gets the win against Carson Drake next week on Powerrr)

We come back, and Markova is barely in the ring, looking the worse for wear. Gretta still tosses her around and pins her with a boot, but only gets a two count. Markova fights back with kicks and nails the Beautiful Destruction in the corner. She goes up top and lands the missile dropkick, only to bounce off Gretta. The ref gets in the way, and Gretta threatens her. That’s when Nieves slides The Burke in the ring and Markova intercepts. Gretta catches what happened in her peripheral vision and takes a page from Eddie Guerrero, dropping and holding her head. The ref catches Markova with the belt and calls the match. Therefore…

Your Winner via Disqualification: Gretta

After the match, TVMA attacks en masse, and Markova is helpless. Gisele Shaw tries to make the save but gets beaten for her efforts as Gretta adds the punctuation with a choke slam. TVMA stands tall, to the dismay of fans in Tampa, as the show comes to a close.
