This NWA Powerrr focuses on the fallout from The Crockett Cup, and tag team title action with the Immortals and The Country Gentlemen in the main event.

There are lots of questions and concerns about this NWA POWERRR. β€œThe Thrillbilly” Silas Masonretained the Ten Pounds of Gold at The Crockett Cup, but did Kerry Morton’s betrayal cost him?

Plus, The Immortals want to avenge their early loss in the Cup as they put up their NWA World Tag Team championship on the line against The Country Gentlemen in KC and AJ Cazana.

There’s always something going on in the National Wrestling Alliance on Comet TV.

We come to you from the PowerrrStation in Tampa, FL. Joe Galli, Danny Dealz, and Tim Storm have the call, and Big Daddy Thrill comes out with Alex Taylor in tow, and he has a few things on his mind as Kyle Davis is in the ring to discuss what took place in the title bout with him and Bryan Idol. So, I’ll let Mason speak his mind on his thoughts of what transpired with him and Kerry Morton:

“I’m surprised I was able to even get through the TSA because of this big old knife I got sticking in my back, and the man that put it there was someone who I used to consider a brother. Somebody whose bonds we shared were thicker than blood.

The memories, the miles, the moments…Kerry, all those didn’t mean a damn thing to you, you son of a bitch! And I don’t know who twisted your mind or who got you thinking, boy. Hey, you know he’s only twenty-five years old, he’s a young guy. He doesn’t know the consequences of his actions yet, and that old man taught him good, but only the good die young. And Kerry Morton, when I get my hands on you, I’m gonna Thrill you, boy.”

Strong words, and that’s when Taylor interjects and suggests he see his side of things, and that Kerry didn’t want to be in Mason’s shadow anymore.

Some interesting thoughts to consider, but as far as anyone is concerned, they’re fine. The Southern Six is fine…or are they?

Joe Cazana talks up his boys on their title match to make up for their finals loss in the Crockett Cup. He reminds AJ and KC that they beat The Immortals once, and they’ll do it again for the top prize, and it’ll be done…by the book.

We get a recap of what took place last month, as Trevor Murdoch was beaten by Pretty Boy Smooth, and afterward, he announced his retirement.

Joining the commentary is the former NWA Triple Threat champion as your First Match of the Night is…

Pretty Boy Smooth (with Pastor C-Lo) vs. Mike Knox

Knox is returning from a shoulder injury and is now medically cleared to step in the squared circle. Plus, he wants to take it to the last man to face his tag partner.

Murdoch puts over Smooth during the match, and The Urban Playboy is able to overpower Knox, but he shows why he is still a wily veteran biting his head.

A shoulder tackle to the bad wing that took Knox out of action initially, and Smooth methodically focuses his efforts on reinjuring him. The Tampa crowd is not happy, and Smooth gestures to the fans, saying they’re “number one,” which gets blurred out. Knox stages a comeback and gets a running crossbody, but still pulls up lame.

Smooth drops him with a Hoss Cross, and then cinches in a double wristlock submission to make Knox tap out.

After the match, we see Jasmine St. Claire come out, and she plants a smooch on the Urban Playboy. Pastor C-Lo tries to lead his charge away from temptation, but I say this: it’s hard to Keep it Player.

NWA World Women’s Television Championship: Gisele Shaw(c) vs. β€œThe Supreme” Sirena Veil

We are entering the Quintessential Era, according to Galli, and now the match reverts to NWA Television title rules, with a 6:05 time limit to defend the belt. If it goes to a draw, it counts as a title defense on the way to a “Lucky Seven” cash-in for a chance at the NWA Women’s World title.

Veil hits a running drop kick and goes to pummeling the champ right away. She attempts the Bloodbath, which is averted, and Shaw connects with running European uppercuts and a roundhouse kick to an assisted spinning neckbreaker for a two count.

At the 5:05 mark, she goes after The Supreme and Veil traps her in the apron and lands blows on the outside. She pushes Shaw back in the ring and covers for two at 4:32. Another attempt at The Bloodbath gets averted again, but Veil counters with a German suplex and a belly to back suplex. She gets the champ in a submission, but she fights out at 3:18.

Veil attempts another submission with the Rings of Saturn, and Shaw positions her into a pin to release the hold. A running enzugiri later, and Veil covers with a two count at 2:42. Now the Quintessential Diva kicks into a second gear and hits a powerslam for two at 1:55

Time ticks away, and Shaw connects with Shock and Awe for another near fall. Veil goes for her signature neckbreaker/leg drop combo to cover with 57 seconds on the clock. They slug it out, and when the bell rings, the match is a draw. But due to NWA Television title rules…

While The Quintessential Diva retains, neither one cares, as both women still want to go at it

On The Carson Drake Experience podcast this week is Alex Taylor. He inquires about whether The Southern Six is imploding. He doesn’t want to talk about family issues, but Drake presses the matter, even with a “photo” of Mason making back-alley deals with Bryan Idol about another title shot. Taylor is flabbergasted, and so am I, that this podcast segment is going so well for Drake’s character

But let’s head back to the ring for a match between…

Alex Taylor vs. Axton Ray

While enough has been written on Alex Taylor here, as one half of The Southern Six, Axton Ray is a thirteen-year veteran dubbed “Unforgettable” and is deceptively agile for a man of his size.

Ray offers a hand, and Taylor shines him. One arm drag later, and Taylor now gets serious. Ray is proving to be Unforgettable with a pop-up to a slam.

Taylor chop blocks him, and he’s now feeling Too Hot to Trot. Not everyone in Tampa is enjoying this, including a little girl in the stands with a sign that says, “You Stink!” A whip to the corner and Ray ducks away with impressive acrobatics to hit an enzugiri, and then a one-armed moonsault for a count of two. He manages a Blue Thunder bomb and almost gets the pin on Taylor.

Ray goes for a high-risk maneuver in a moonsault, and he belly flops on the way down. A spinning neckbreaker by Taylor, but he pulls up at two so he can make a statement with the Green Whistle and finishes in three.

Now for the Main Event, and it is for the…

NWA World Tag Championship: The Immortals (Odinson and Kratos)(c) vs. The Country Gentlemen (KC and AJ Cazana, with Col. Joe Cazana)

The bell rings, and Kratos and AJ start and lock up. Instantly, The Bullheaded Brute is now feeling the wrath of The Most Feared.

Things aren’t looking good for the Gentlemen early on until…

Ads (Mims and Pope confer, and Pope wants him to be the best and got him a match with Carnage)

(Plus, there was a fracas between Bryan Idol and Mike Mondo during the NWA Trainee segment)

We come back, and we see what happened during the break as Kratos launched AJ across the ring.

KC and Odinson are in, and the Asgardian is taking the younger Cazana to school. A splash to a powerslam, and KC kicks out at two. Kratos and AJ slug it out, and The Most Feared is in control. He hits the ropes, and Joe grabs his ankle to distract, and now The Gentlemen put the screws to Kratos.

KC nails the White Lightning leg drop, and Kratos is In Peril. The Gentlemen get hit with a double clothesline. A hot tag to Odinson, and he is an Asgardian en Fuego. He connects with a jackhammer, and AJ breaks the count. AJ and KC use the NWA rule book and roll up Odinson to get the one, two, and three.

KC and Aj Cazan are now on top of the tag division and, as promised, they did it by the book as the show comes to a close
