The results for last night’s episode of WWE Raw are in, with Roman Reigns and LA Knight coming face-to-face ahead of their World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank.
Last night’s WWE Raw also saw Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan battle for a shot at Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer, while Penta and Je’Von Evans joined forces against Bron Breakker and Austin Theory.
Elsewhere, Rey Fenix faced Ethan Page, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee battled Judgment Day, and tensions continued to rise between The Bloodline and 946.
Roman Reigns And LA Knight Come Face-To-Face
LA Knight opened the show in the ring ahead of his World Heavyweight Championship opportunity against Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank.
Knight acknowledged the chaos surrounding The Bloodline and 946 but said his focus remained firmly on Reigns. He described the champion as part of the establishment and himself as the man looking to tear it down, adding that he was accustomed to operating in chaos.
Reigns then interrupted to a loud “OTC” chant.
The World Heavyweight Champion insisted that he was not distracted by 946 or Knight, saying he had been “born in the deep end.” Reigns then accused Knight of hypocrisy for attacking him after his successful title defence in Mexico.
Reigns said he had never taken his eyes off Knight despite believing they were not on the same level. He added that WWE’s plans for Knight were for him to become “another egg in the omelette” before promising to break him at Money in the Bank.
Reigns attempted to leave after demanding acknowledgement from the crowd, but Knight stopped him.
Knight branded Reigns a “corporate-manufactured puppet” and claimed WWE had pushed him to the top. He promised to take the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank before leaving Reigns pacing around the ring.
Je’Von Evans & Penta vs. Bron Breakker & Austin Theory
Je’Von Evans and Penta attempted to attack Bron Breakker and Austin Theory before the opening bell, leading to a brawl around ringside.
Once the match officially began, Breakker and Theory isolated Evans. Theory prevented Evans from making a tag by pulling Penta from the apron before Breakker launched Evans over the ropes with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.
Breakker and Theory later combined for a top-rope bulldog before Penta eventually received the tag.
Penta increased the pace with a step-up hurricanrana, facebuster and springboard DDT on Theory before taking Breakker out with a tope suicida.
Evans followed with a springboard clothesline on Theory, but interference soon became a factor. Maxxine Dupri distracted the referee while Logan Paul attempted to slide brass knuckles to Theory.
Paul overshot his intended target, allowing Evans to intercept the weapon. Evans used the brass knuckles on Theory and made the cover for the victory.
Winner: Je’Von Evans & Penta
Bronson Reed attacked Evans and Penta after the match, hitting Penta with a Tsunami before Oba Femi arrived to make the save.
Femi fought off both Reed and Breakker, then grabbed a microphone and delivered a message to his Money in the Bank opponent. Femi said The Vision could have Reed’s soul and Paul Heyman could have his mind, but at Money in the Bank, Reed belonged to him.
Liv Morgan Addresses Becky Lynch
Liv Morgan appeared in a pre-taped segment and complained about losing the Women’s World Championship before being forced to go through Becky Lynch to earn another opportunity.
Jackie Redmond later interviewed Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee backstage.
Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh interrupted the conversation, leading to a challenge for a tag team match later in the show.
Roman Reigns then confronted The Usos in their locker room over their recent dealings with 946.
Reigns questioned why Jimmy and Jey Uso had been taking orders from Jacob after he had made them captains. Reigns told The Usos that he would handle 946 himself.
Sol Ruca & Lola Vice vs. Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez
Sol Ruca and Lola Vice attacked Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez before the bell and quickly sent their opponents to the floor.
Vice continued the offence with a splash from the apron before connecting with a springboard corkscrew plancha.
Perez and Rodriguez eventually took control, with Rodriguez preventing Ruca from making a tag before delivering a side slam to Vice for a near fall.
Ruca later attempted the Soul Snatcher, but Perez interfered. Ruca then escaped Rodriguez’s Tejana Bomb.
The finish came when Vice accidentally struck Ruca with a spinning backfist. Perez capitalised on the mistake, rolling Vice up and bridging back to secure the pinfall.
Winner: Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez
The Bloodline Gets A Match With 946
Roman Reigns later returned to The Bloodline locker room alongside Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.
Pearce announced that 946 would face The Bloodline on next week’s Raw.
The Usos initially appeared excited about potentially teaming with Reigns, but it was instead revealed that Solo Sikoa would join Jimmy and Jey for the match.
Sikoa received a strong reaction when he appeared alongside his Bloodline family members.
Ethan Page vs. Rey Fenix
AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix faced Ethan Page in a non-title singles match.
Fenix immediately attempted to increase the pace and connected with a dropkick before hitting a tornillo from the top rope to the floor.
Page slowed Fenix down and later connected with a head-and-arm capture suplex for a near fall. Fenix responded with several kicks and an Oscutter for another two-count.
Fenix continued applying pressure with Angel’s Wings and a superkick, but neither was enough to finish Page.
Page answered with consecutive powerslams before attempting an avalanche version of the move. Fenix escaped and connected with another superkick.
The closing exchange saw Fenix attempt a Muscle Buster before Page escaped and went for a fisherman’s suplex. Fenix countered into a small package and held Page down for three.
Winner: Rey Fenix
Joe Tessitore then narrated a video package looking at the history and rules of the Money in the Bank ladder matches.
The package noted that women who have won Money in the Bank have successfully converted the contract into a world championship every time, while the success rate for the men sits at approximately 78 per cent.
Backstage, JD McDonagh received a Funko Pop courtesy of Joe Hendry while Judgment Day watched television.
Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh
Dominik Mysterio teased starting the match against his father before tagging JD McDonagh in instead.
Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee controlled the opening stages, with Lee connecting with a double stomp and later sending McDonagh outside before following with a tope con hilo. Rey simultaneously prevented Dominik from interfering with a seated senton.
Judgment Day eventually isolated Rey.
Mysterio fought back with an enziguri and later caught Dominik with a tornado DDT before attempting to reach Dragon Lee for the tag.
Big Cass suddenly appeared at ringside and pulled Lee from the apron before throwing him over the barricade.
The interference left Rey alone inside the ring, allowing McDonagh to connect with a headbutt and score the pinfall.
Winner: Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh
Cass continued the attack after the bell.
Lee attempted to make the save but was taken down before Cass delivered a single big boot that struck both Lee and Rey.
Becky Lynch Sends A Message To Liv Morgan
Becky Lynch appeared in a pre-taped promo ahead of her main event against Liv Morgan.
Lynch spoke about defeating Morgan and earning the opportunity to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank.
Elsewhere, Byron Saxton interviewed Lyra Valkyria before Bayley interrupted.
Bayley warned Valkyria that their rivalry wouldn’t be over until she decided it was.
Jaida Parker then appeared through FaceTime alongside the rest of 946 and reiterated the group’s warning that nobody was safe.
Paul Heyman Warns Bronson Reed About Oba Femi
Paul Heyman was shown backstage watching television when Bronson Reed entered the room.
Heyman warned Reed about the challenge awaiting him against Oba Femi at Money in the Bank, claiming it could take around 20 Tsunamis to defeat his opponent.
Heyman referenced Femi’s SummerSlam victory over Brock Lesnar, saying Femi had shown him that Lesnar was human and had humbled him in the process.
After Heyman left, the camera showed footage of Femi powerbombing Lesnar at SummerSlam playing repeatedly on the television.
Women’s World Championship No. 1 Contender’s Match: Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan
Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan fought to the outside early in the main event.
Morgan sent Lynch into the ring post and barricade, then targeted her ribs. Back inside, Morgan connected with a shotgun dropkick for a near fall.
Lynch fought back with a series of clotheslines, a dropkick and an exploder suplex before Morgan regained control with a Codebreaker.
Morgan continued to target Lynch during the commercial break, hitting a tornado DDT and later throwing her over the ring announcer’s table.
Lynch narrowly avoided being counted out before Morgan connected with the Three Amigos and a step-up enziguri for another near fall.
Morgan attempted a frog splash, but Lynch intercepted her on the top rope. Lynch delivered a superplex and immediately transitioned into a DDT for two.
Lynch then attempted the Disarm-Her, but Morgan escaped by biting her opponent’s leg before applying a half-crab.
The match began to break down when Raquel Rodriguez walked towards ringside and distracted Lynch. Roxanne Perez then attacked Lynch while the referee was occupied, allowing Morgan to hit a sunset bomb for a near fall.
Lynch recovered and countered Oblivion into the Manhandle Slam, but Rodriguez placed Morgan’s foot on the bottom rope to prevent the three-count.
Lynch took Rodriguez out with a dive before Stephanie Vaquer arrived and dealt with Perez.
Referee Jessika Carr then caught Rodriguez attempting to pass a championship belt to Morgan and ejected her from ringside.
Morgan turned her attention towards Vaquer. Lynch charged towards Morgan, but Morgan moved, and Lynch accidentally struck the Women’s World Champion.
Lynch hit Morgan with another Manhandle Slam, but Vaquer entered the ring and attacked both women, ending the match.
Winner: No Contest
Vaquer called for Adam Pearce after the match and demanded to defend her Women’s World Championship against both Lynch and Morgan at Money in the Bank.
Pearce accepted the request and officially announced Stephanie Vaquer vs. Becky Lynch vs. Liv Morgan in a Triple Threat match for the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank.
