Here are the results for last night’s episode of WWE Raw, coming just days after Saturday Night’s Main Event and the retirement of John Cena.
The show opened with a recap of Cena’s final match and his emotional farewell, before turning its attention to the man who ended his career. Gunther made his way to the ring to a hostile reception, soaking in chants of “You tapped out” and “Gunther sucks” before declaring that he did exactly what he promised. Gunther said that Cena gave up, tapped out, and that he would forever be remembered as the man who made John Cena quit.
Rather than delivering a single promo, Gunther repeatedly left and returned to the ring, each time revelling in the crowd’s anger and repeating his message. Eventually, the cameras followed him through the backstage area, where he encountered Alpha Academy, R-Truth, and finally Raw General Manager Adam Pearce. Pearce confronted Gunther about disrespecting Cena’s legacy, but Gunther showed no remorse and was ordered to leave the building. On his way out, Gunther crossed paths with AJ Styles in the car park, punctuating the moment with a mocking “You Can’t See Me” before driving away.
The Usos then made their entrance through the crowd for the first match of the night.
The New Day vs. The Usos
The long-time rivals delivered a competitive tag team bout, with both teams trading momentum throughout. Grayson Waller attempted to tip the scales in New Day’s favour, but his interference backfired when he was ejected from ringside. The Usos weathered the Unicorn Stampede and ultimately put away Xavier Woods, with Jey Uso finishing the match after a spear and splash combination.
Winners: The Usos
After the match, commentary hyped the upcoming January 5 Netflix anniversary episode of Raw.
Backstage, The Kabuki Warriors aired their frustrations with Iyo Sky, accusing her of abandoning them. Moments later, Sky and Rhea Ripley were shown walking backstage before chaos erupted. Asuka sprayed mist into Ripley’s face, allowing the Kabuki Warriors to beat down Sky and Ripley. When Asuka set up a diving elbow on a blinded Ripley, Sky threw herself over Ripley to absorb the blow, leaving both women laid out as officials rushed in.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Maxxine Dupri (c) vs. Ivy Nile
Maxxine Dupri and Ivy Nile engaged in a physical title match, with Nile controlling much of the early action. Dupri showed resilience, repeatedly fighting out of danger before turning the tide late. Nile locked in an ankle lock, but Dupri reversed the pressure and trapped Nile in a grapevined ankle lock of her own, forcing the challenger to tap out.
Winner and still Women’s Intercontinental Champion: Maxxine Dupri
Backstage, Adam Pearce booked Je’Von Evans against Rayo Americano for next week following a confrontation with Los Americanos.
CM Punk then made his way to the ring for a lengthy promo, firing back at Bron Breakker after weeks of taunts. Punk dismissed Breakker’s WarGames pinfall victory as hollow, citing interference from The Vision and the mysterious masked man. Punk warned Breakker not to involve his family again and promised to defeat him for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on January 5, regardless of who stood in his way.
WWE Women’s World Championship
Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Raquel Rodriguez
The title match was competitive until Nikki Bella interfered, attacking Stephanie Vaquer and causing a disqualification. Bella then laid out both women, leaving Vaquer down after a Rack Attack 2.0.
Winner via disqualification: Stephanie Vaquer
Backstage, Pearce demanded answers from Paul Heyman regarding the masked man’s identity, but Heyman claimed ignorance. Rhea Ripley later demanded a match with Asuka, which Pearce granted for next week.
Rey Mysterio vs. Logan Paul
In the main event, Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul delivered a back-and-forth match that saw multiple momentum shifts. CM Punk appeared to chase off Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, seemingly neutralising the outside threats. However, the masked man returned, stomping Mysterio and allowing Paul to hit a frog splash for the win.
Winner: Logan Paul
After the match, the masked man removed his disguise, revealing Austin Theory. The moment was short-lived, as Bron Breakker stormed the ring and speared Punk. Breakker stood tall, holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship over Punk as Raw went off the air.
