WWE Money in the Bank 2025: Shoots and Ladders

Six individuals are vying for a chance to grab the briefcase that will give them a shot at a title opportunity. Both men and women in the World Wrestling Entertainment will have the chance to climb up the ladder on this Premium Live Event to claim their Money In The Bank.

Oh, and for some reason, John Cena and Logan Paul will fight Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

Why? I dunno and don’t even care.

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Giulia vs. Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer

Vaquer may be at a disadvantage, having just wrestled at the Worlds Collide match.

I liked how, at the preshow, they said it was Ripley’s to win, calling it “Mami in the Bank.” Heh.

The bell rings, and all six women come out swinging. To achieve this, I will cover the major events.

Bliss knocks Naomi and Perez to a ladder and lands a forward somersault leg drop, then Ripley runs roughshod over Giulia and slams Naomi into the ladder. She goes for a Razor’s Edge, and Perez counters with a huracanrana into the ladder and follows with a moonsault. Then Naomi gets a ladder up and Vaquer stops her ascent. She sends out Giulia and Perez and gives a dragon screw to Naomi. Giulia cinches an octopus stretch, and Vaquer climbs the ladder, but she drives her down. She gets Giulia halfway into the ladder rings, and she suplexes Naomi off it.

The chaos ensues as Giulia and Perez drive Bliss’ midsection to the ladder edge. Ripley gets out of the ladders stacked on her, and Mami is mad. She sends the barricade and gets Perez with a Razor’s Edge to Naomi, and then drives Giulia to a ladder in the corner. She sets up another ladder, and Vaquer counters to the Devil’s Kiss to Ripley on the ladder.

From there, Perez and Bliss nail stereo Code Reds to Vaquer and Naomi, respectively. At that point, Perez and Giulia battle up top the ladder, but Bliss drags Perez down, as does Mami. Then they hit the Riptide and Sister Abigail finishers simultaneously. As they climb, Naomi tips the ladder to make Bliss and Ripley crash, leaving her to grab the briefcase.

Well…I can certainly say that was anticlimactic.

We see in the audience El Hijo del Vikingo and Mr. Iguana, plus Psycho Clown, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner, and Konnan in the house.

So after some commercials, let’s go to the ring for the…

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio(with Liv Morgan)(c) vs. Octagon Jr.

This is a nice showcase for Octagon and gets the early offense in with a moonsault to the outside on Mysterio. “Dirty Dom” channels his inner Eddie Guerrero and ties his mask to the bottom ropes and stomps away. Fans let Mysterio know he is a “Culero” (Kids, ask you folks about the translation and avoid the chancla. If you know, you know).

A springboard spinning elbow drop gets a count of two. Then there is a kick to the ropes, and Mysterio attempts a 619 and misses. Octagon counters with a spinning neckbreaker and climbs up the top turnbuckle. Morgan distracts, and that allows Mysterio to take advantage. Now the 619 connects, and a frog splash ensures the pin and the win.

Now, for a match with everything on the line, it is for the…

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch

The rules are simple: If Lynch loses, she can no longer challenge for the title for as long as Valkyria is champion. If Valkyria loses, she will be forced to raise Lynch’s hand and acknowledge Lynch as the better woman.

Got it? Good.

Lynch is dressed like she is going to do a street fight, and Valkyria is channeling her inner Sorceress from the Masters of the Universe cartoon. As Alicia Taylor starts with the boxing-style intros, Lynch comes out swinging. At one point, Valkyria adjusts the halter to avoid a wardrobe malfunction. She goes after the Man, but then Lynch takes over and makes her presence known. Valkyria comes back with a spinning neckbreaker and then a gutwrench powerbomb for a two count. Lynch returns the favor and spikes her with a DDT for a count of two.

They battle up the top turnbuckle, and Valkyrie hits a superplex, then a fisherman’s suplex for a near fall. A moonsault misses, and she kicks Lynch but then gets reeled to a Dis-Arm-her, but Valkyria switches to a pin attempt before she breaks the submission hold. She then goes for a heel hook, and The Man escapes. They brawl outside, and Valkyria gives her a jumping leg drop. She goes for a missile dropkick, and Lynch reverses to a pin for another two count. A top rope Man-handle slam gets Lynch another two, and they go back out of the ring. The Man is in control, until Valkyria hits the Nightwing outside. Both women are down as the ref counts to nine, and they roll back in.

They throw bombs until Lynch rolls up Valkyria and gets the pin and the win.

Your Winner, And New WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion: Becky Lynch

Lynch tells Valkyria to raise her hand in victory, and she begrudgingly does so. Then Lynch tells her to put the belt around her waist, and she does so…right after she suplexes her.

We see Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian at the ringside, along with McAfee playing with the latest toys from WWE.

Look, Kourtney is the smartest Kardashian, and Barker is a gods damned genius on the skins. I will not say anything bad about them.

I’ll reserve my animosity for later.

Now for the…

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Solo Sikoa vs. LA Knight vs. Penta vs. Seth Rollins vs. Andrade vs. El Grande Americano

I said it before, and I’ll say it again: Why is Andrade here, and not Karrion Kross?

Oh, right. The Booker Monkeys™ hate me.

In that case, let me channel my inner Krusty the Klown and say, “Let’s get this over with! Hehehehahaha. *ugh!* ”

I did pop when Alicia Taylor billed Americano as coming from the “Gulf of America.”

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

There is a huge pop for Knight in the L.A. crowd (YeahHHH!)

Once the bell rings, everyone focuses on Rollins, and they beat him down. It’s the same deal for Sikoa, and the bodies hit the floor

Rollins throws out Andrade and knocks everyone out, and Penta picks up the spare. He sends Americano to the corner, and before he can do a Bronco Buster, Rollins rams a ladder to his sternum. Sikoa throws Americano to a ladder in the corner, and then he gets Knight up for a Samoan drop, but he reverses, and drops the YeahHHH Elbow.

Knight and climb a ladder, and Rollins and Americano do the same. Then Sikoa and Rollins go to battle and Freakin’ stomp stops that run. He grabs a ladder and climbs, but Americano catches up with an ankle lock. Andrade and Penta join in, and there is a sunset flip by Andrade and Penta suplex Rollins to a ladder on the opposite side.

Andrade and Penta climb, and El Idolo takes advantage, because… what else does he have? The Love of Charlotte?

(Okay, the Genius Juice™ took a mean turn as I was recapping, so let’s move on from there as I switch to a Diet Coke.)

A Mexican destroyer by Penta to Andrade on the ladder, and it buckles under the weight. Then Americano pulls a Fireball ladder and pulls a Terry Funk and swings it at everyone coming in his direction.

Americano climbs, but Penta fights him and knocks him off. Then Rollins and Penta battle while Americano loads up his mask with a steel plate. He goes from one ladder outside to the main one and headbutts Penta with the loaded mask, and Knight suplexes him off the ladder. Everyone scrambles until Rollins calls out Reed and Breakker, and they run roughshod over everyone. They direct traffic until Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo come out and even the odds

Breaker spears Mateo through the barricades, and Fatu gives a pop-up Samoan drop to Reed and dives to the outside.

Yadadamean?!

Fatu rolls in Sikoa, and he climbs the ladder until Fatu stops him. Then he says, “I hate you!” and superkicks Sikoa and finishes him off with a moonsault. He adds the punctuation with an uranage to a ladder on the outside.

Meanwhile, Rollins gets the briefcase because…ugh, The Booker Monkeys

We get some news that WrestleMania is going to be in Las Vegas, and I shall double down and make an attempt this time to head there. Plus we hear that there will be tournament matches for the King and Queen of the Ring, which will culminate in Saudi Arabia. Also, Nikki Bella will return to WWE.

I’m saying that last part as a warning to my friend, Melissa Merlot, since she may have to do a recap on her.

Now for the Main Event that nobody asked for…
