A familiar face returned and several new champions were crowned at NJPW’s Wrestling Dontaku Night Two.
In the main event, IWGP Heavyweight Champion Callum Newman put his title on the line in the main event against Shingo Takagi. In the dying moments, a haymaker shot from Takagi knocked Newman into the ropes twice. Newman staggered and fell to the mat. They exchanged punches and chops.

As Shingo tries to pull Newman up, Ospreay has Newman’s hand outside of the ring. Ospreay cheers Newman on. Shingo lifts Newman up for Made in Japan. Newman grabs the ropes and then the official. Newman low-blows Shingo and gets a two count with a Prince’s Curse. Newman barely kicks out of a Pumping Bomber.
Newman low-blows Shingo again and pins him with Make Way.
Earlier in the evening, Chase Owens challenged Konosuke Takeshita for his NJPW World TV Championship…and a special guest showed up.
Takeshita suplexes Owens hard down to the canvass. Owens rolls out of the ring before Takeshita can deliver Raging Fire. Takeshita’s running boot almost sends Owens over the barricade. Owens gets slammed on the ring apron…twice. Yujiro Takahashi hits Takeshita with his cane in the head. Takeshita kicks out of the High Noon clothesline. Owens grabs the official as Takeshita is going to suplex him. Takeshita halts the move in just the nick of time. Owens throws Takeshita into the official though.
Yujiro puts the boots to Takeshita. Owens retrieves his branding iron. Before he can use it, Shoto Umino arrives. He blasts both heels with forearm shots As Umino urges Takeshita to get up the House of Torture flood the ring and attack Umino from behind. As they put the boots to Umino, Takeshita lays across him to protect him.
Hontai rushes the ring to clear out House of Torture. Hontai holds all of the House at ringside so that Takeshita can splash them all. Hontai then leads the House to the back and out of the way.
Takeshita goes to lift Owens up for a suplex, Owens punches him in the head with a spur from his boots. Takeshita still kicks out. Takeshita escapes the Package Piledriver, hits a running knee strike (Power Drive knee) and pins him with Raging Fire.
Takeshita couldn’t find his belt though and neither could the official. All of a sudden a video aired in the arena. It showed someone in a tuxedo and what looks like a Japanese Okame, ceramic mask entering the arena. When the lights go back on, the stranger is standing on the apron with something in a bag. They hit Takeshita in the head with it. He goes down.
When the mask and hood is removed, it is Sanada standing in the middle of the ring. He gives Takeshita a Dead Fall Drop and walks off with the title.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions TMDK (Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles) also defended the title on the card against challengers Mistico and El Desperado.

Robbie Eagles nukes Mistico with a Destroyer. He then kicks Desperado in the head four times. Desperado spears Eagles off the ropes. Fujita gives Desperado a head butt that sinks him to his knees and puts on an arm lock. Mistico denies Eagles the Turbo Backpack finisher. Fujita gives up his hold to try and save Eagles from Mistico’s arm lock. Fujita submits to Numero Dous….and the new IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions are Mistico and El Desperado.
