On this premium live event, NXT Deadline, the action is loaded. Not only is Oba Femi itching to reclaim his title from the current champion, Ricky Saints, but we’re going to see who will be the Iron Survivor on the men’s and women’s side. The stakes are high as they get a guaranteed championship opportunity at New Year’s Evil PLE.
We come to you from the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, TX. Booker T and Vic Joseph have the call, and we get to your First Match of the Night for the…

NXT Championship: Ricky Saints (c) vs. Oba Femi
It’s the Absolute Era versus The Ruler, and here is NXT ring announcer Mike Rome with the boxing-style intros. Femi is mighty, even with Saints’ technical prowess. He targets the Nigerian’s arm, but even without it, he is still more than a match for the champ. The Ruler is reigning over Saints, tossing him around like a rag doll, but doesn’t back down.

He walks the rope and gives a huracanrana, followed by a spear, which gives Saints a two count. Big moves abound, and Saints lands with a stunner for another near fall. He locks Femi in a guillotine choke, and he starts to fade, but he throws Saints’ midsection-first to the top rope. He gets dumped out to the floor, and Saints comes after him with a scary dive, but Femi manages to get back in the ring. Femi hits the Big Ending, and it is not enough to keep Saints down. Monster chop on the outside, and Saints returns the receipt, throwing him in the steel steps along with a DDT. He sends him back in the squared circle and nails another DDT to cover, and Femi kicks out. He attempts the RoShamBo, but it is countered with a powerbomb by Femi, and Saints kicks out. Now Femi delivers with a sit-out powerbomb to reclaim his title.

Your Winner, and New NXT Champion: Oba Femi
The Ruler has returned, and the Revolution has ended. Saints extends a hand, and Femi graciously accepts.
What a way to start the PLE.

Plus, Hank and Tank highlight their time in Japan with Pro Wrestling NOAH and they’re coming back to NXT soon.
Now for your next match, and it is the…

Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge: Sol Ruca vs. Lola Vice vs. Kelani Jordan vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Kendal Grey
If this is your first Iron Survivor match, here are the rules: A wrestler must get the most pinfalls in a 25-minute timespan. Two wrestlers start, and then every five minutes, another enters until all five wrestlers are in the ring. Pin and submissions earn a point. If a wrestler gets pinned, they lose a point and then spend 90 seconds in a penalty box.
Jordan and Grey start, and they go for quick pins. This keeps up until Grey lands with a spinning powerslam for the first pin with seconds to spare in the first five minutes. Now, Grace enters while Jordan sits in the penalty box, and she displays her power early and often. Jordan is back and stops Grace’s submission move on Grey. Jordan, with a rollup on Grey, gets her point on the board, and then she goes to Grace. Once Grey gets out of the box, Jordan clotheslines her, and then she hits a springboard corkscrew outside the ring on Grace. Now Vice enters with striking kicks and pins Grey to score quickly.
.@JordynneGrace is on a mission!! 😤 pic.twitter.com/3OU1LTkJec
— WWE (@WWE) December 7, 2025
She then gives a hip attack to Grace and Jordan in the corner, and once Grey comes out of the box, she gets a pin on Grace to get up to two points. The action continues, and once her time is up, Grace kicks the box door open and goes to work on Jordan with a crossbody on Grace to roll her up for her first point. Ruca comes out, but Jordan bangs her bad knee on the apron edge to take her out, and the refs help her back.
OH C'MON KELANI!!! 😡😡😡 pic.twitter.com/gmPpzd1sLT
— WWE (@WWE) December 7, 2025
Now it’s just a race to see who will score the most points between the competitors. But after a brief moment, Ruca comes back out and attacks Jordan. She nails a Sol Snatcher for a pin on Jordan, as well as a pin on Vice to quickly go up two points in rapid succession. Grey and Ruca are tied, and the rest have one point apiece. Vice chokes out Jordan out of the box, and as she goes on the attack, Jordan steals a win from her and pins Grace. Time ticks away with all the women going for broke. Grace pins Jordan, and Vice scores on Grey, so everyone has two points. Ruca hits with a Sol Snatcher to Vice on the floor, and it’s pandemonium until Grey gets the tiebreaker pin on Vice to earn her spot as the clock runs out.

She will face Jacy Jayne at New Year’s Evil, and the champ comes from the back and stares down the EVOLVE women’s champion, clearly not sweating her.

Now for something different, this match is for the…

NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs. Mr. Iguana
Sometimes, ya need some ridiculousness in your life. This match is no exception.
Pages shoulder tackles, and Iguana plays dead. As he tries to figure out the lucha star, he goes for a pin and then arm drags Page out of the ring.
.@MrIguana has @OfficialEGO questioning EVERYTHING! 🤣 pic.twitter.com/Gq3NwztT3r
— WWE (@WWE) December 7, 2025
Fans love Mr. Iguana, and Page doesn’t have an answer to his unorthodox style. The AAA star then goes to his trusty puppet, La Yesca, and Page spikes his head. He goes for a superplex, but Yesca gets used to knock him down to the mat, and Iguana lands with a crossbody for a count of two. Page is done with this nonsense and throws him into the steel steps. He comes back with high-flying moves, and Yesca bites his finger.
.@OfficialEGO is tired of the games. 😤 pic.twitter.com/EOHTWpZ1LC
— WWE (@WWE) December 7, 2025
He walks the ropes, and Page pulls him off for a powerslam and stomps away. He then tosses La Yesca out of the ring, which fires up Iguana.
He attempts a super Ego’s Edge from the top rope, but it’s reversed for a huracanrana, and Iguana dives to the outside. “All Ego” delivers a Twisted Grin for the pin and the win.
Your Winner via Pinfall, and Still NXT North American champion: Ethan Page
Schreiber is backstage with Grey and Wren Sinclair on her Iron Survivor win. Grey says that others didn’t expect her to make it as well, but she surprised them all. Ruca interjects that she coulda have had it, if it wasn’t for her knee and the interference she received. Sinclair gets in her face, and that makes Ruca mad.
"That kind of sounds like an excuse…"

We see in a video package what happened with Paxley and Dame, who were once friends, and now they’re bitter rivals. Which leads to your next match between…

Tatum Paxley vs. Izzi Dame (with Niko Vance and Shawn Spears)
Paxley comes out with tears streaking her eye makeup. Spears and Vance come into the ring to confront her, but it’s a ruse for Dame to sneak attack, until she stares at her, knowing what she’s trying to do. She then tries to play on her emotions, and it isn’t long before Paxley switches gears, and she unleashes all her fury.
.@TatumPaxley wasn't going to fall for this, @izzi_wwe! 👊 pic.twitter.com/Cg55t71mMW
— WWE (@WWE) December 7, 2025
Dame plays with her emotions and then is in the driver’s seat. Fans rally around Paxley with “Let’s go Tay-tum!” chants. She tries to rally, but Dame is one step ahead at each turn
Dame cinches a Boston Crab, but then cranks it to a Lion Tamer, but it gets reversed to an inside cradle for a near fall. She slaps Paxley, and then the crazy ramps up in her.
Paxley knocks Dame off and goes for a high-risk maneuver, but gets a dropkick on the way down. She fires back with a running crossbody to send Dame out of the ring and Paxley clears off the commentary desk, props Dame on it, who pleads her case, but it’s all for naught.
Spears has a couple of dolls to play with her emotions, and then twists off one of their heads. Paxley slaps Spears stupid, and rolls back in, but it’s Dame Over.
Wicked. Evil. Despicable.
The Culling helps Izzi Dame get the win at NXT Deadline… 😡 pic.twitter.com/HB5vT6vNz5

The Culling stand over the broken body of Paxley, and the fans rain down hard with boos.
Saints is backstage, still down about his loss earlier tonight to Oba Femi. Je’Von Evans tries to cheer him up, but Saints is inconsolable since he couldn’t get the job done. Evans tries his best, but tells him he wants to focus on his Iron Survivor match tonight, and Saints wishes him luck.

Now for the Main Event, and it is the…

Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge: Je’Von Evans vs. Leon Slater vs. Joe Hendry vs. Dion Lennox vs. Myles Borne
Joseph pointed out that Slater recently defended the TNA X Division title less than a few days ago, and he is ready to mix it up. Also of note is that Evans had a chance last year and came a pin short as time ran out, so this is his chance to make up for that moment.
Both men mentioned start, and they go at a breakneck pace, full of high-flying moves.
.@WWEJeVonEvans and @LEONSLATER_ are too much 🤣 pic.twitter.com/2aGwsD3QwJ
— WWE (@WWE) December 7, 2025
Evans connects with a standing huracanrana and rolls up Slater for the first pin. Out now is Borne, and he works over Evans while Slater cools his heels in the penalty box. Once he gets out, it’s now a three-way match between them. Slater and Evans suplex each other out of the ring, and Borne dives on both men with a springboard somersault senton.
AIR BORNE! 🚀@mylesborne_wwe just took flight in San Antonio!! pic.twitter.com/HQT26CkrYq
— WWE (@WWE) December 7, 2025
Out now is Lennox, and the DarkState member is on fire, going through the three men. He connects with a clothesline to Slater, then a slam to Evans, to get on the board with a pin. Once Evans gets out of the box, he starts flying everywhere.
Now it’s time to say his name, and he appears, and the fans lap it up as Hendry is super focused.
Say his name and he appears! 👏@joehendry is taking over the Iron Survivor Challenge!! pic.twitter.com/2XulD4bcKz
— WWE (@WWE) December 7, 2025
He gives Slater and Evans a double fallaway slam and then sends out all four men, following with a suicide dive to the outside. Hendry scores on Borne to get on the board, as he heads to the box. Once Borne gets out, Lennox blindsides him. Meanwhile, Evans goes coast to coast on Hendry, but Slater takes him out and gets a swanton 450 splash on Hendry to score for the first time.
Borne pins Lennox with Borne Again, and all five men are tied at one apiece. Lennox attacks Hendry in the box, and things aren’t looking good, but he fires back before getting back to the ring. With 22:50 on the clock, Evans is locked in the box by Lennox, with the ref, and has no way out. However, he climbs out and dives to Lennox on the floor. At that point,
Everyone is throwing the heavy artillery, and Evans manages to get Borne in a rollup and wins by a nose.
Your Winner of the Men’s Iron Survivor Match: Je’Von Evans
The Young OG avenges his loss from last year and will face Femi at New Year’s Evil. Speaking of which, The Ruler comes out to scope his upcoming opponent. Then the lights go out, and we see Tony D’Angelo come out and slam Evans, while staring down Femi until the show closes.
