Despite their loss tonight to Chaos, TMDK (Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls) still lead Block A of World Tag League along with Shota Umino and Ren Narita who beat Kaito Kiyomiya and Ryohei Oiwa. Both teams have six points.
Night seven saw AEW/ROH’s Gates of Agony score their first win of the tournament defeating Bullet Club’s War Dogs in a brutal brawl.
As they removed their entrance gear the Gates of Agony begged the War Dogs to come out to the floor. Both teams immediately take to the floor brawling. The bell didn’t even ring to start the match. Alex Coughlin and Toa Liona exchanged chops right out on the floor while Kidd and Kaun fought up the stairs and into the crowd. Liona threw Coughlin right over a ringside barricade.
At almost four minutes of battling on the floor all four men enter the ring at which time the official rings the bell. As soon as he does that everyone goes back to the floor. Kidd has a barricade slammed shut on him by both Gates members and then they bury him under barricades. Coughlin saves Kidd by whacking both Gates members with a steel chair. He hits Liona over the head with the chair. Liona no-sells the shot. The War Dogs fight back with chair shots and barricades. Toa Liona is buried beneath a ton of barricades while Kidd hits Kaun in the head with a fire extinguisher apparently knocking him out. At this point it is almost ten minutes into the match and nobody has been counted out or disqualified by the official.
The War Dogs set-up Kaun for an electric chair like move on the floor. Liona breaks things up. He punches Kidd as he dives off the apron and he slams Coughlin’s head into a barricade. Kidd rakes Liona’s eyes bouncing his head off a steel post. Kidd rolls Liona into the ring. Liona quickly catches him with a massive Samoan Drop for a two count. Kidd breaks out of the Gates’ finisher labeling them with haymaker after haymaker. He runs off the ropes in an attempt to take both men down. The Gates catch him and slam him down hard. Coughlin breaks up the pin.
Coughlin dodges and both Gates crash into each other in a corner. He slams Kaun but cannot slam Liona because he is head butted. Kidd slides in one of the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship belts to distract the official. He clobbers Liona with the other one in the head. The War Dogs get Kaun ready to be spike piledriven from the top rope. Liona knocks Coughlin off the top rope. Kaun pins Kidd with his fireman’s carry gutbuster and his double underhook facebuster.
