After being away for almost six months NXT is back home at Full Sail University but there is something BIG brewing between NXT and TNA…and it all begins here it seems.
We get a NXT history lesson and an opening in the old school NXT style. NXT is something special to him and always will be.
The big man is out first, the CCO himself, HHH. He feels good to come home. Everything about NXT is very special, including the fans. “You are why this is here,” he says. He thanks the fans and then Shawn Michaels comes to the ring too.
“What if I said I wanted to come back?” asked HHH.
The crowd gasps.
“Well, I didn’t want this to get all uncomfortable but then we would have a very, very big problem,” answered HBK.
William Regal’s music plays. Regal looks to the crowd and then to the ring.
“Gentlemen, I know only of one way to settle this” War Games!” he yells.
Charlotte Flair’s music hits. The Queen comes out in all of her splendor. Alexa is next. She comments that HHH and HBK argue more than they do. Charlotte says women run NXT. “Women are the backbone of NXT and if you don’t like it, I’ve got two words for you,” says Bliss.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
We see Lyra Valkyria backstage giving Paxley support before the big match. Bliss and Paxley have a little doll showdown before the match actually begins. Flair and Dame get into a fist fight then nail each other with big boots. Bliss climbs to the top rope. Izzy Dame tries to knock her off but gets kicked in the face. As The Culling jumps on the apron Charlotte pulls them down. Spears distracts Bliss. Bliss dives for Twisted Bliss. Paxley puts up her knees. Paxley puts her legs on the ropes but Bliss still kicks out. Paxley knocks Charlotte off the apron.
Charlotte charges the ring and argues with the official which gives Dame time to haymaker Bliss. Charlotte breaks up the attempted pin. Bliss rolls out of the way of Paxley’s 450. Punch, Sister Abigail.
Winners: …and still WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions…Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss.
Sol Ruca is still apologizing to Zaria for hitting her with a Sol Snatcher by accident last week. Lainey Reid tells Ruca she should be focusing on her not whatever they are arguing about. Candace LeRae interrupts mocking Reid for thinking she will get by her to challenge Ruca for the Speed Championship. Shayna Baszler appears. Baszler advises Ruca and Zaria to set aside their issues and get back to business.
Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes vs. #DIY

Tomaso drops Williams but both cannot make the tag but do. Gargano hands out drop kicks and clotheslines to Williams. He sets them up in the corner for running double knees. He bulldogs Williams and clotheslines Hayes. Gargano leaps through the ropes from the rampway spearing Hayes for a two count. Williams drops DIY with kicks and a flapjack. Williams readies for the Trick Shot but Hayes blind tags himself in. Hayes winks at Trick. Trick confronts Hayes after he takes Tomaso out. Hayes puts his hand out. They shake hands and hug. Tomaso is almost pinned by an Electric Chair and a clothesline off the second rope from Hayes and Trick. Gargano makes the save.
From out of nowhere, the Miz delivers a Skull Crushing Finale to Gargano on the floor. Hayes pins Gargano with Nothing But Net.

Kelly Kincaid interviews United States Champion Sami Zayn backstage. Sami feels there are so many superstars with such potential. He thinks J’Von Evans reminds him of himself. Josh Brigg disagrees getting in Sami’s face. Evans flies into frame and they start brawling. Zayn cools Evans down. He wants Evans that things won’t come easy but the sky is the limit for him.
Ethan Page (c) vs. Tyler Breeze – NXT North American Championship
Pages has the upper-hand most of the match. Breeze fights back finally with a kick to the head and flying forearm with the crowd cheering him on. Page almost pins Breeze but he hands were on the ropes. The official kicks them off. Breeze wraps Page’s leg around the steel post before putting on a figure four. Page is in trouble as Breeze puts him in a single crab but he makes the ropes. Breeze heads to the top rope. Page crotches him. A Twisted Grin puts Breeze away.
Winner: …and still NXT North American Champion, Ethan Page.
Tavion Heights gets a pep talk from Damian Priest. Priest spoke to GM Ava on his behalf. Tavion will face Page for the championship at No Mercy.
The Grayson Waller Effect with NXT World Champion Oba Femi and challenger Ricky Saints. Waller tries to stir up trouble as usual. Saints won’t be denied. Both men get in each other’s faces…until Impact World Champion, Trick Williams, shows up. He stays on the ramp though. He tells Femi he is holding something that belongs to him. Waller suggests that Femi and Williams wrestle in a title-for-title match next week. The winner of that faces Rickey Saints at No Mercy. They agree to the match.
Charlie Dempsey and Wren Sinclair are still figuring out a way to revive NQCC. Dempsey tells Wren he is going to Japan for a month. Wren is going to “hold down the fort”. Wren says it will be “glorious”. Bobby Roode appears. Wren says Joe Hendry. He appears. Roode praises Hendry for walking that aisle at WrestleMania with the TNA World Championship. He advises Hendry to focus on the NXT World Championship.
Lexis King addresses the NXT Universe. King says the “black and gold” era of NXT is overrated. Finn Balor returns and points his finger guns at King. Myles Borne attacks King from behind so that Balor can deliver his Coup de Grace. Borne and King will meet in an Lights Out match next week.
Kelly chats backstage with DarkState. Montez Ford arrives. He advises them to watch their backs. Bianca Belair is in the crowd too.
Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkyria and Stephanie Vaquer vs. Fatal Influence
Fatal Influence attacks the faces before they can complete their entrance. Jayne whips Ripley into a steel post. Influence has their way with Lyra and Stephanie early on. Lyra takes them all out with kicks for everyone. Nyx gets caught between all the faces. They swarm her. Influence cuts off Lyra and they work over her “tender” back.
Jayne takes a cheap shot knocking Rhea off the apron yet again. Stephanie takes over kneeing Falon and Nyx in opposite corners. Jayne saves Nyx from a SVB. The crowd chants for Rhea and explodes when she finally is able to join the match. Lyra dives onto Nyx on the floor while both Rhea and Stephanie deliver Devil’s Kisses to Falon and Jayne. Confronted by Rhea, Jayne heads for the locker room but Lola Vice walks her back to the ring. Vice knocks Jayne into the ring with a spinning back fist. Rip Tide. One, two, three.

Before we fade to black, Williams and Femi are having a staredown back stage. GM Ava says social media is buzzing with the news. Regal says he is glad he isn’t in her position any more.
