TNA Wrestling: Santana wants satisfaction with Maclin, plus X-Divison action

Hello, and how do, marks and mark-ettes? While our ‘Beautiful’ Boris Aguilar is away on assignment, I’m here to cover the drama on tonight’s TNA Wrestling. We will see who is the number one contender for the TNA tag titles, and Jody Threat wants the Knockouts title from Ariana Grace. Nic Nemeth will challenge Leon Slater for the X-Division title, and TNA Champion Mike Santana wants answers for why Steve Maclin attacked Tom Hannifan last week.

TNA Knockouts World Title Match: Arianna Grace (with Stacks) (c) vs. Jody Threat

Jelly Roll is in the audience, as is the cast of Mama June from WETv (oh, joy…). Also, Lilian García is in the audience, and one has to wonder how that will play out. Tessa Blanchard and company come down the ramp and join the commentary to observe the action.

As ring announcer McKenzie Mitchell gives the boxer style intros, Grace attacks before she can finish, and the champ is in control. Indi Hartwell observes the action outside the ring, as do Xia Brookeside and Lei Ying Lee, who want a taste of the title. Threat stages a comeback, but Grace has a cobra. They tug at it (phrasing), but Grace rolls her up and gets the win.

Afterwards, Hannifin addresses Maclin’s actions.

Kinda brief, but hey…everyone processes trauma in their own way.

I should know. I deal with trauma all the time. But enough about Provo, UT.

They throw it to Gia Miller (once they get sound working) and shetalks to th Nemeth brothers. Since the sound guy is apparently taking a snooze, the gist is that Nic is here to show the world he deserves the X-Division title and will take it from the waist of Leon Slater.

TNA World Tag Team Title Number One Contendership Four-Way Tag Team Match: BDE and Rich Swann vs. Sinner And Saint (Judas Icarus & Travis Williams) vs. The Righteous (Dutch and Vincent) vs. The System (Bear Bronson and Brian Myers)

This is just a free-for-all between the four teams, and a lot of diving outside the ring. Even Dutch gets in on the fun as a white cannonball (dig what I’m saying, folks?)

At one point, the Hardys observe backstage who their competition will be. All teams are going for broke, and no one is leaving anything to chance. The end comes as Brian Myers feeds BDE to Bronson for a Piledriver to earn their shot.

Moving along, Moose comes down to the ring and gets to the point. He has words about The System, calling it a “family” when someone in the group outshines them. He addresses the Atlanta Falcons Legends in the front row, and then says he will go through every member of them in an Atlanta Street Fight, starting with Cedric Alexander. Alisha Edwards adds some tinder to the fire especially as it relates to her own Eddie Edwards, and we have a statementmade here tonight.

BDE and Swann talk about what went wrong in the tag match. Swann says not to worry, and then things get heated when The Order sticks their nose into this moment.

AJ Franci$ has issues with Atlanta, and that brings out the HomeTown Man.

Time for the King’s Speech with Frankie Kazarian, and as he invokes AJ Styles, he brings out Elijah. They get into how he shut the lid in the Casket Match with Mustafa Ali. As things get heated, Franci$ and the Hometown Hero battle, and it spills out into the ring.

Eric Young hopes Leon Slater wins, and I wouldn’t want to wish that hope on anybody.

TNA X-Division Title Match: Leon Slater (c) vs. Nic Nemeth (with Ryan Nemeth)

This is a grapple fest, and Nemeth has the prowess, but Slater has some moves that catch The Wanted Man. Ryan distracts Slater, and then Nic takes advantage.

That leads to…

(Ads. Also, I had issues with my DVR, so below is an abbreviated version of what happened.

We come back and Slater nails a Blue Thunder Bomb on Nemeth, and then follows with a Styles Clash in homage.

The 450 Swanton delivers the knockout to Nemath for the one, two, and three.

All is good until Eric Young attacks at the end to make a statement.

Now, Mike Snatana comes out, and the TNA World Champion wants the Director of Authority, Santino Marella, to reinstate Steve Maclin so he can get his hands on Maclin. That brings out Daria Rae, and she tells him he doesn’t run the show.

However, she agrees that Maclin has some worth, so she reinstates him, and when he faces her, it will be on her terms.

That brings out Marella, who drops the bombshell that at the TNA SACRIFICE PPV, Stanata and Maclin will fight with the title on the line, and Santana is down for that as the show draws to a close.
