Greetings and Salutations! TNA Wrestling brought TNA Sacrifice to New Orleans on Friday night. The atmosphere will be anything but celebratory for Mike Santana and Steve Maclin as their rivalry reaches a boiling point with the TNA World Championship at stake. We will also see Arianna Grace defending the Knockouts Championship against Lei Ying Lee and Dani Luna in a triple threat. In X-Division action, Leon Slater looked to settle the score with Eric Young. We will also see Moose continue his war against The System as he takes on Eddie Edwards.

With all of this and so much more, let’s get straight to the action.

Countdown Pre-Show

Ryan Nemeth vs. BDE

BDE gained momentum with a springboard cutter and a trip up top for a frog splash. Nemeth scouted it perfectly, raising his knees to counter. He quickly transitioned into a roll-up while grabbing the tights to steal the win from poor ol’ BDE.

Winner: Ryan Nemeth

Tessa Blanchard vs. Jody Threat

Jody Threat came out aggressive, but Blanchard targeted the knee to slow her down. Threat powered back with a vertical suplex and a running powerbomb, and almost got the upset. Interference from Mila Moore and distractions from Victoria Crawford stopped Threat from winning. Blanchard hit the Buzzsaw hammerlock DDT for the win.

Winner: Tessa Blanchard

After the match, The Diamond Collective continued the assault. Things seem FAR from over now…

Also on the pre-show we saw:

  • Trey Miguel vs. Mustafa Ali for the TNA International Championship was made official for Rebellion (April 11)
  • The System and Order 4 held a tense meeting, agreeing to work together even though neither side trusts the other.
  • Nic Nemeth declared his intention to challenge for the TNA World Championship at Rebellion in his hometown.

TNA Sacrifice Main Card

X-Division Championship: Leon Slater (c) vs. Eric Young

Slater with a decoy entrance to gain the early advantage, diving onto Young from behind. The match turned into a back-and-forth affair, and a fun one at that. Young relied on veteran and heel stuff like a bite to Slater’s ankle to escape a Styles Clash and later hitting one of his own. Young focused heavily on the neck and even delivered a piledriver on the apron. Despite the punishment, Slater rallied, countered an avalanche attempt, hit the Styles Clash, and finished with a Swanton 450 to win the match and retain the title. Fun little opener.

Winner: Leon Slater

One Man Gang is in the crowd.

Frankie Kazarian & AJ Francis vs. Elijah & Home Town Man

Elijah got the crowd hot with a hot tag.. Elijah and HTM did an electric chair powerbomb combo. However, a miscue with a guitar shifted things for Kazarian and Francis. Kazarian smashed the guitar on the steps and took over the match. Francis chokeslammed Home Town Man on the apron. Kazarian hit a Fade to Black for the win for his team.

Winner: Frankie Kazarian & AJ Francis

Knockouts Championship (Triple Threat): Arianna Grace (c) vs. Lei Ying Lee vs. Dani Luna

Lee and Luna were stars in this match and were the focus, mainly because Grace lingered on the outside waiting for an opening to make her mark. Stacks keeps getting involved and Xia Brookside had seen enough and tried to stop them, but Grace quickly cut her off with a cheap shot from behind.

Lee crashed into both Grace and Stacks with a cannonball, leaving the champion laid out. Lee and Luna squared off in the middle of the ring with back and forth strikes until Lee connected with a spinning head kick followed by her helicopter slam. Just as she was ready to seal the win, Stacks slid in to drag Lee out of the ring, allowing Grace to slip back in and steal the pin on Luna.

Winner: Arianna Grace

The System accused the Righteous of slander. Brian Myers and Cedric Alexander said they had nothing to do with the attack on Matt Hardy from Impact.

Tommy Dreamer and Carlos Silva brought out Chris Bey to do the introduction for the next young talent to carry TNA into the future. Sosa has been working for this moment for five years. This isn’t just an opportunity. It is a chance to make history. Bang bang, Sosa Sosa.

We see another Mila Moore promo with the mysterious White Rabbit. This time, The White Rabbit lured Mila Moore into the red lighted room where she met with Rosemary, who wasn’t very nice.

Mustafa Ali & Tasha Steelz def. Trey Miguel & Jada Stone

Ali used his strength to control Jada Stone early, but Stone fired back with quick counters and used their speed on Ali, which caught him off guard. She spiked him with a Destroyer after being launched into the air and later turned an avalanche Razor’s Edge into a Hurricanrana.

Stone with a Corkscrew Moonsault, but Ali kicked out right at 2.9. Order 4 tied Trey Miguel to the bottom rope. Ali hit his finisher on Stone but broke the pin to taunt Miguel as he watched helplessly. Ali then had enough and hit a 450 splash for the win.

Winner: Mustafa Ali & Tasha Steelz

Santino Marella was tired of Arianna causing problems, so he booked her into a title defense against Xia Brookside for Impact. Arianna threw a tantrum. Stacks tried to guilt Santino and called him a terrible father.

Moose vs. Eddie Edwards

Alisha Edwards pulled the kendo stick out of her husband’s hands before the match began. As soon as the bell rang, Moose dropped Eddie with a big boot, sending him running like the Heel he is to the outside. Moments later, Agent Zero blindsided Moose from behind and the ref was forced to call for the disqualification. Eddie restrained Alisha as Agent Zero continued the assault on Moose.

Winner: Via DQ, Moose

No Disqualification Match: Mara Sade vs. Elayna Black

Weapons including chairs, a bat, extinguisher, and thumbtacks came into play through the match. Black attempted to use the tacks, but Sade reversed it and Body Slammed her onto them instead. Mara Sade hit a Moonsault for the win. short and okay match.

Winner: Mara Sade

Brian Myers & Cedric Alexander def. Jeff Hardy & Vincent

Jeff Hardy and Vincent showed strong chemistry throughout. Late in the match, Hardy connected with the Swanton Bomb, but Vincent became distracted by the video screen, which showed Matt Hardy being abducted and brutally attacked by Dutch. Things turned worse for Hardy as Brian Myers leveled Jeff with a Roster Cut lariat, and Cedric Alexander followed with a Lumbar Check to secure the victory.

Winners: Brian Myers & Cedric Alexander

After the match, Vincent sat laughing as Jeff was beaten.

ODB, Taryn Terrell, and Mickie James confronted The Elegance Brand in a heated exchange. M warned ODB to stay away or risk being sent “back to the trailer park.” ODB came out and she brought some backup in Taryn Terrell.

Mr. Elegance said he has no issue to get physical with a woman and this then had ODB to introduce Mickie James. The veterans stormed the ring and the segment broke down into a fight. Thinnngs ended as Mickie James hit Mr. Elegance with a low blow using her microphone.

TNA World Championship Main Event: Mike Santana (c) vs. Steve Maclin

The main event ended abruptly when Steve Maclin appeared to suffer a legitimate injury early in the match after running into a superkick. Officials gave the X and stopped things as medical staff checked on Maclin.

NO CONTEST

After the match, Eddie Edwards attacked Santana. Santana fought him with a Spin the Block lariat, then putting him through a table with a Frog Splash to give us a “happy” ending. Hope Maclin is okay.
