I’ve been ignoring this man since he arrived on the scene. Danhausen has seemingly taken over for the Halloween weekend as a “very nice, very evil” Smackdown. Quite frankly, I should have seen this coming since this is the time of the year where we dress up, but I haven’t since 2020, I think. I miss Trick or Treating.
Anyway, prior to Chelsea Green’s title match against Nikki Bella, Liv Morgan strutted over to deliver a message. They both came in emoting low expectations from the rest of the locker room, however, with worked hard and determination, they rose to the top. Alas, that didn’t matter since Liv was convinced that she’d eat Chelsea alive at Crown Jewel.
Tiffy Stratton has made it clear that she’s looking to cash-in on Morgan, so she interrupted her speech. As clap back, Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez rammed Tiffy before she could reach the stage. Meanwhile in the ring, Green performed the Unprettyher on Morgan. Once again, Stratton tried to cash-in, but she got knocked in the face by Rodriguez’s boot. That looked painful.
Tiffy took way too long, so it didn’t surprise that she was ambushed. Nevertheless, Iyo Sky’s arrival backed Liv, Roxanne, and Raquel into a corner.
For a good portion of the title match, Nikki has been making by Chelsea pay. Especially when Green decided to dress in her opponent’s iconic red ring gear for the evening. “I’m dressed up as a monster,” is what Chelsea said during an interview backstage. Bella viciously tossed Green into the barricades that she almost landed on some audience members. A Bella Buster nearly ended Chelsea.
While attempting to mock Chelsea’s husband, Green thwarted that with a Rough Ryder, one of Matt Cardona’s moves. Later on, Bella applied the Fearless Lock, it failed, but that forearm was formidable. Nikki will regret this for a while when she cinched that cover over Chelsea a little too tightly that the Champion’s foot touched the bottom rope, which resulted in an unsuccessful pin. Green quickly rolled her up for a retaining victory.
A Moonsault from the AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix to his challenger, Ricky Saints, didn’t finish the job, so he wanted to add a rolling cutter, but he was caught and taken down with a Revolution DDT. That was already severe enough, yet Fenix didn’t stay put. Ricky went even further with a driver that forced Rey’s neck to brutally collide with the mat that I thought he may have broken it. It didn’t matter since Fenix kicked out.
Rey was brilliant when he didn’t lose faith when Ricky avoided his Moonsault. Fenix rolled through and got him with a cutter. Plus another that came close to ending this match. Rey was planning on flipping Saints off the top, yet he managed to retain with a Mexican Muscle Buster as retaliation.
At first, Tatum Paxley was doing well versus Jade Cargill, however, at a given point, she was thrown towards the ropes and saw stars after crashing onto Jade’s knee. Ouch! I think Paxley had a nosebleed. Despite the unbalanced frames, Tatum held her own very effectively. With a little help from B-Fab and Michin, Cargill went back to the task at hand with Jaded.
During a segment where Danhausen wanted to reveal his so-called latest creation, Gunther put him through a table. Four Mini Hausens bursted out from a wooden box to attack the Ring General, who only repelled them way too easily. He threw pumpkins… I saw someone dressed as Art the Clown from Terrifier. Astute observation, huh?
Danhausen’s real experiment was to bring the Demon out of Finn Balor as he emerged to terrorize Gunther. For weeks has the Ring General been belittling Balor, so this was only inevitable circumstances to drive him through the commentary table with a Coup de Grace. The one thing I honestly loved from this section.
Due to Candice LeRae, Johnny Gargano, and Lil Yatchy hovering around at ringside — Gargano pulling the referee by the ankles was the final straw — Nick Aldis ordered a restart with a No Disqualification rule attached to it. After bumping Sami’s head with a stick, Trick almost won the Championship. The fight slipped to the outside as they played with trash cans and whatnot. There were a few moments where Williams thought he had Zayn beat, but that’s where he’s wrong and didn’t listen. Sami is a survivor, so he used the referee as a temporary shield, delivered a low blow, then smashed his title over Williams’ head to retain.
