In memory of Terry Gene Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan in the ring, we lay him to rest after his passing this Thursday, July 24, 2025 to cardiac arrest at Clearwater, Florida hospital. He’s known for his charisma, flamboyant and loud personality. 1953-2025, rest in peace and thank you.
Right after this moving and heartfelt moment to honor Hogan, I was flabbergasted when the evening continued by shocking me with electric volts through my back when I found out that Drew McIntyre and LP will tag together in a match versus Randy Orton and Jelly Roll…… What?? Are they trying to knock me out with this news?
Well, anyway, Jelly Roll didn’t appreciate Paul’s inaccurate way to describe himself as an “inspiration” to Cleveland. The pain in stabbing myself in the foot would be a lot more sustainable because the agony will eventually subside, while my disgust towards Logan will not. Ha! Jelly said Logan is as soft as Charmin, the toilet paper brand. Clearly, that was good enough to encourage McIntyre to materialize himself from the floor and gang up on Jelly, but he didn’t come here on his own. Orton came swinging first, and Roll planted Paul with the Blackhole slam.
Roxanne Perez vs. Alexa Bliss
That slap to Bliss’ face only spurred a fire in her ass to knock Perez off her feet with alarming speed. In my opinion, since Roxanne moved to the blue brand, I feel like she’s been falling short in terms of her personality onscreen. Not saying that the mean girl aura she has going on isn’t entertaining, but I didn’t think she’d allow herself to be somewhat bland at the moment. Alexa was doing great, so Raquel Rodriguez tried to intervene, but Charlotte Flair stepped up in-between.
I didn’t know she was here playing cheerleader…
Alexa nearly had Roxanne with Sister Abigail, yet Perez managed to wiggle out of there, sending Bliss wobbling towards the ropes closest to Rodriguez, who uses the distraction her Tag Team partner provided to harm Alexa. Charlotte saw that and disposed of a Raquel to the timekeeper’s area. That didn’t keep her down because she came back with a big boot to the queen’s face. Bliss saw this and foolishly went to the outside.
Perez won by quickly and underhandedly roll Bliss up.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
During a match between Jade Cargill and Chelsea Green, the Queen of the Ring winner, Jade, won the fight, which naturally led to a brawl of 2-on-1. Shockingly, Tiffany Stratton came to help her opponent at SummerSlam. Commentary believed that Stratton should have let Cargill get the beating.
When Cody Rhodes said he didn’t want to wrestle this version of John Cena, the crowd was confused, but to clarify, Rhodes wants to fight the REAL John Cena that we all know him to be. The greatest of all time that we’ve witnessed for the past five months or more, hasn’t fully shown his wrestling prowess, and that’s because he stopped caring… seemingly. I want to see the hustle, the loyalty, the respect I feel is still in there somewhere. And SummerSlam, like a lot of the upcoming live events, is the perfect place to show that… only if he cares.
Zelina Vega got her Women’s US Championship rematch with current title holder, Giulia next week, despite the annoying inserts of Kiana James, who Vega called “clipboard Karen.” Ha!
After Jacob Fatu defeated The Miz, he got attacked by the Bloodline in a 4-on-1 situation. Jimmy Uso did his best to assist the Samoan Werewolf. Sikoa’s MFTs overwhelmed Uso, luckily, Jacob cleared the house. He had Solo prepared for a career ending assault, yet Tala Tonga came in with a massive clothesline that turned the man inside out. They tried…
Andrade & Rey Fenix vs. The Wyatt Sicks (c) – Tag Team Championship match
Andrade and Rey Fenix have been doing amazingly against the Tag Team Champions, Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy. Expect greatness and expect nonsense as well, as Lumis shoved Fenix off the top rope, which caused an unbalance with Andrade as Gacy delivered a springboard clothesline.
Later on, it looked like Andrade had to win this match on his own, fortunately, Rey got back on his feet to take out Dexter by flying over the ropes. El Edolo planted Gacy with the Message, and we nearly got the three count if it weren’t for Nikki Cross, who pulled the referee out of the ring, resulted in a premature ringing of the bell with no new winners.
I don’t know why, but the rest of the Tag Team division arrived in bunches. First, Fraxiom attempted to face Eric Rowan, only to be trampled on. Secondly, the Motor City Machine Guns came out as well. What are we doing?? It seemed like all the other Tag Teams were ganging up on the Wyatt Sicks, the Street Profits joined the party soon enough. Never mind the title match at this point.
DIY came strolling in with Nick Aldis trailing right behind them. Fraxiom jumped Ciampa and Gargano on the outside, while the Profits took out the other teams. So, I appreciate Aldis making the decision to sanction a Six-Pack TLC match for SummerSlam. Yay!!
Winners: Disqualification
