After RAW, Sami Zayn wanted his intentions to be clear for Roman Reigns to understand that he will not be overlooked again. Them both being Champions at the same time and facing each other at crown Jewel was an event I didn’t see coming. Ever. It feels fresh. Daring. Finally.
Kicking Reigns in the face didn’t sit right with Jimmy Uso, especially when 946 took everyone else out as a message to Roman… If you could see me eye roll, my eyeballs went back so hard, I can’t even… Nevertheless, Jimmy expected better from Sami. In this world, as Zayn put it, he’s Champion. Things aren’t moving in the direction they used to because others elements are now present.
Jimmy warned Sami that Roman looked straight into his cousin’s eyes and said that Zayn will get his ass beat. His focus wasn’t on 946 since Sami’s current status demanded respect. He was glad to know that Reigns was taking this seriously, or as seriously as some people would say.
Just as Sami was leaving, 946 came in like rabid bulldogs, crowding Jimmy as Zayn watched. I knew about Lucien Price, Branco Nima, and Jaida Parker as the original starters with OTM. Who I didn’t expect to see was Carmelo Hayes, and I didn’t know who this Cruz Montana fellow was. Since arriving, Royce Keys made his mark very quickly. I also didn’t expect the formation of a faction, though.
Sami left, that’s the point. I can understand why he didn’t assist, and I’m also upset by it.
Shinsuke Nakamura and Tama Tonga clashed in a match where Nakamura was doing very well since returning. Of course, I wouldn’t count Tonga out yet. That’s foolish. And as if the universe heard me, Shin made a stupid mistake when he stared Haku right in the eye as he berated his son. While the referee wasn’t looking, Talla Tonga floored him. Kyoki attempted to intervene and was warded off by Haku. Regardless of that, Nakamura was able to realign himself.
Shin got bulldozed with a Cutthroat that almost took him out. Talla tried another interruption, Kyoki got in the middle, avoided a choke slam and a lariat, and drop kicked Talla. Back inside the ring, Nakamura was successful in performing the Kinsasha.
While Finn Balor and Gunther still have their score to settle in a match that has yet to officially begin, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley force an abrupt stoppage when they went after Fatal Influence, Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin. Bayley tried to help, but Cargill kicked her out of existence with ease. Things were looking dreary until Charlotte Flair made her entrance after being taking out last month. It continued to escalate into a jumbled mess, however, Bayley, Bliss, Paxley, and Flair got the better of them.
Chelsea Green wanted to prove that every doubt she had towards herself and what Liv Morgan has been saying to be wrong. She needs to beat Morgan. Sadly, Liv not only made an entrance with her new song that hit just right, she managed to render Green silent by calling her a “charity case”. In all honesty, I don’t know why people use those words as an insult because there shouldn’t be anything wrong with it.
But it’s not necessarily the meaning of the word, I get it, rather how it’s used in context. I suggest y’all stop wasting your time on that. Please. It’s a repeated joke.
When Fraxiom wanted to stand up for R-Truth, they became Damian Priest’s targets. Nathan Fraser jumped Priest before the bell to get his footing in early, but that didn’t matter since Damian dismantled him very fast. That Razor’s Edge ended the match at a rapid pace. Fraser wasn’t moving, so Axiom got in-between him and Priest. That angered Damian into catapulting Axiom’s face against the post.
Absolute chaos! A No Holds Barred match is exactly the type of battle fitting of Kevin Owens and CM Punk. Owens delivered most of the assault on Punk for a good minute, for a moment, he was overturned only to regain control by punching Punk into the front row. A funny moment for me was when Punk took his time sliding off a trash box. Ha!
An elbow drop from CM wasn’t sufficient to take Owens down. In my opinion, it’s idiotic to think so as Kevin gouged Punk’s eyes out during the Anaconda Vice. Kevin struck Punk with another chair to the spine. Later on, CM managed to dodge a chair setup by reversing the attack on Kevin, then spiked him with a DDT. He was able to avoid whatever Punk had in store from an elevated position, yet Owens was smacked with a chair near the commentary table.
Punk was hoping to put Kevin to sleep, luckily, Owens escaped and delivered a Super Kick. He failed with the Stunner, but he succeeded with a Swanton. All his weight crushed Punk underneath. Owens had a chair assembly ready for execution, unfortunately, CM Punk wobbled his ass away. Those six chairs Kevin had aggressively laid out was used against him as he’s sent flying and collided with his trap.
Punk was irate that wasn’t final. As payback, Owens drove Punk with a Fisherman’s Buster through two tables on the main floor. When we get back to ring, another Stunner attempt failed. At some point, it sank to an even lower level of morality loss. Before Owens could knock Punk’s lights out with a chain wrapped around his right hand, he said “Die, you piece of sh*t!” CM got the drop on him with a GTS, yet he didn’t expect Kevin to counterattack. The chain weapon made him see losing stars.
