I’m enjoying the fact that someone has finally started to question who Paul Heyman is loyal to. Rhodes planted some doubts, some concerns into Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. No one has been able to figure out the inner workings of Heyman’s mind because he’s really good at n0t making his intentions noticeable, that’s why Cody made it clear that Heyman’s allegiance isn’t towards these two men currently in the ring. Since he was making sense, Breakker and Reed simply couldn’t have that, so a brawl broke out. It wasn’t until Randy Orton showed up that equality was established.
Giulia & Kiana James vs. B-Fab & Michin – Tag Team match
A Hurricane Rana from Michin to Giulia sent the Women’s US Champion reeling into the oppositions’ corner. Frequent tags between Michin and B-Fab as a double team has been difficult for Giulia to get out of, so she had to initiate a time out. B-Fab came swooping in intended to strike Giulia, but she ducked out of the way, resulting in Kiana James getting hit instead.
Michin might have missed with the baseball slide, but she succeeded with the missile drop kick to Giulia off the commentary table. B-Fab was finally able to tag Michin after struggling to reach her partner due to James blocking her, so she kicked her. Michin dropped Kiana on her head with a tornado DDT, but Giulia saved her partner just in time.
B-Fab came in and delivered a pump kick to Giulia’s chest for interfering. James saw this and knocked B-Fab out the ring, trailing after Giulia. During a scuffle, Michin delivered the Eat the Feet maneuver that sent Kiana collapsing into the corner, Giulia wisely tagged herself in and performed a winning Northern Lights to Michin, who didn’t have the time to react.
Winners: Giulia & Kiana James
The Street Profits vs. Melo Don’t Miz – Tag Team Number One Contender’s match
Miz made fun of the Profits just as he was triumphant in putting Montez down, but it didn’t last long since Ford managed to deliver a step-up enziguri to the side of Miz’s head. He was wobbly, so he tagged Carmelo, who blindsided Angelo off the apron. Whatever they’re doing was effective since Ford hasn’t been moving properly ever since.
Every time Ford tried to reach Dawkins, he was intercepted by Melo, or Miz at every turn. It was frustrating for him to bear. Hayes performed a massive First 48, and he was going up top for Nothing but Net, however, like the vain individual Miz tends to be, he tagged himself in again. This allowed Ford to reach Dawkins for some relief at last.
Angelo ploughed through Miz like it was nothing. He dragged Miz’s body everywhere around the ring like a ragdoll. That spinning neck breakker kept Miz still for the upcoming frog splash. But here’s what should be considered weird, is that Melo witnessed Miz being pinned, instead he allowed the lose for his team by stopping short. I think Hayes had enough.
Winners: The Street Profits
While Drew McIntyre was whining about his injured leg he suffered at Wrestlepalooza, Jacob Fatu stormed out here to say what everyone was thinking: “Shut the hell up!” Drew attempted to slam Fatu down, but it hardly worked since the Samoan Werewolf interrupted him in return by snatching the mic. Jacob wanted to remind McIntyre of who he is, yet the Scottish Warrior headbutt him before he could finish his full sentence. Damn…. I’ve never seen someone ricochet like that after getting headbutt. Ha! That obviously angered Fatu to used McIntyre’s boot as a weapon.
I can’t help, but laugh when I saw Kit Wilson doing what he preserved to be the best he can at drilling his perspective that Damian Priest is the personification of toxic male masculinity into the big man’s head. It was made even funnier when Kit tried to run, only to trip on something behind him. Ha! “B*tches be trippin’.” said Priest before Aleister Black surprised him with a Black Mass kick. Good night. Amazingly, it was also Damian’s birthday… Quite the gift.
Sami Zayn (c) vs. Je’Von Evans – US Championship match
Evans was showing off his athleticism by ducking under the bottom rope, then delivered a huge crossbody from the top to our champ. Je’Von was impressive to watch as he knocked Sami off his feet again with a drop kick to the chest as he stumbled onto the floor. Zayn swooped back in with a thunderous clothesline that thwarted Evans’ insane momentum.
Sami was doing a good job at first, but it didn’t take too long for Je’Von to regain himself and shot to the top by flying over the ropes. Evans was really great as he stomped Zayn again. From the top rope, Evans nearly scored a victory with a colossal Hurricane Rana, but it wasn’t sufficient.
Sami caught Je’Von with an Exploder, yet he failed to initiate the Helluva Kick since Evans clocked his ass real quick. Up top, Je’Von came crashing down just as the audience were screaming with anticipation. He missed, though… so did Zayn with a second Helluva Kick. The OG Cutter Evans performed almost, very closely ended the match. Evans was, indeed, phenomenal, but congratulations to our retaining Champion for fighting through.
Winner: Sami Zayn
Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill vs. Nia Jax – Triple Threat Women’s Championship match
As soon as the bell rang, Nia used Stratton to ram her into Cargill like a Mack truck. Jade attempted to knock Nia off her feet with a shoulder tackle, but she hardly budged, like a boulder. Stratton rushed in and delivered a double drop kick to two arguing women. Tiffy was dominant for a while now, which bothered Jax as she came out of nowhere and bulldozed the champ. Just as Jade wanted to lift Nia for a body slam, I reckon, Stratton interrupted with another drop kick, which resulted in Jax landing on Cargill.
Tiffany was looking to suplex Jade, but she was overpowered by her opponent. Cargill was redevising her plan, but Nia stopped her by dragging her out of the ring, then tossing her into the barricade. A chop shocked Cargill. While Jade and Nia were throwing punches in front of the announcement desk, Tiffany came flying, but she got caught in the middle rope and didn’t get the full extent of that dive. Cargill followed up with a fall away slam.
A fourth or fifth attempt at shoulder tackling Nia was successful as Jade planted Stratton face first for a near fall. Jax literally flew in. All these women came close to winning this match, but the resilience of their challengers isn’t something to underestimate. Stratton and Cargill momentarily teamed up to superplex Jax from the top.
At some point, Nia was tossed outside the ring, leaving Tiffy and Cargill alone for a bit. Stratton was caught in the corner when she thought she had Cargill beat, one Jaded move later, she could have won if Jax hadn’t pulled the official by the ankle. Realizing that, Jade was so pissed that she planned to execute Nia by slamming her on the commentary table. The Irresistible Force managed to slip away and shoved Jade into the steel stairs.
Cargill was busted open, yet that didn’t stop her from beating Nia at her own game with a Samoan Drop on the stairs. Despite the pain, Jax crawled back inside, and so did Cargill, who delivered the Eye of the Storm. Nia kicked out, and Tiffy came in with a drop kick. Once Jade was taken care of, Stratton was able to pin Jax with a prettiest Moonsault retention.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton
