Ricky Saints, Oba Femi, Hank, Tank and Dark State arrive at the arena for his big tag match tonight.
Jaida Parker versus Lash Legend
Jaida Parker enters the arena and chants of Miss Parker echo. Move her up to the main roster already. She has it all, in my opinion.
Booker: There is nothing but air and opportunity between these two.
A lot of pushing and shoving. Parker punches Legend. Legend muscles her into a corner. Parker does the same in return.
Legend takes Parker down with a shoulder tackle for a big splash. Parker leaps onto Legend’s back. Legend whips her head between the ropes back and forth while having her in a Fireman’s Carry. Funny that.
Je’Von Evans is shown walking to the building.
Parker gets caught and chokeslammed for a two count. Legend misses a big splash. She is taken down with a flying shoulder tackle. Legend counters Hipnotic with a backbreaker and a two count. Parker dodges Legend. Legend hits the steel post. Parker hits her big butt drop in a corner. Samoan Drop but Legend rolls out of the ring with Parker. Big foot on the floor to Parker. Lash Extension on the announce desk. Lash Extension back in the ring.
Winner: Lash Legend
Parker attacks Legend from behind at the end of the match. She is thrown into the steel ring steps and a Hipnotic through the barricade.
Blake Monroe and Arianna Grace run into each other backstage. They praise each other. Grace give Monroe some make-up from the sponsor.
“Finally, a woman with some taste around here,” says Blake.
Grace wants Blake to know that she is not related to that scumbag Jordynne Grace.
Speak of the devil. Jordynne Grace busts into the room. Blake takes a hike. Kali Armstrong is pissed at Grace for ruining her NXT debut.
“This place doesn’t revolve around you and never will!” says Armstrong. “You thought you had problems with Blake Monroe? Now you have problems with Kali Armstrong!”.
Armstrong stomps away.
Je’Von Evans heads to the ring. After Heat Wave, Evans is pretty down. His loss there felt different. He really thought he would be champion that night. He apologizes to the fans. He felt he let them down. They chant: No! No! No! We still love you!
He feels that he let himself down too. On the big screen we see live video of someone driving up to the arena. He is on a motorcycle whomever it is. They park their bike and…the Undertaker’ s bell chimes. The arena goes mental.
But…it is just Josh Briggs. “Were you expecting someone else?” Briggs asks. He is fed up with entitled brats in the locker room like Evans who is main-eventing PLEs at his age.
The crowd chants…”You suck!”.
Briggs says what Evans should have done instead of crying is demanded a rematch.
“Ricky Starks just stepped right over you!” says Briggs. Evans says he isn’t in the mood for Briggs’ nonsense right now.
Briggs ain’t telling no lies, folks.
Briggs kicks Evans in the face and stomps him into the mat. Briggs chokeslams Evans on a steel chair in the middle of the ring.
Hank, Tank, Femi and Starks have gathered in the locker room. Hank and Tank extol the virtues of Ricky Saint. They then do the same with Femi. They are trying to get them to drop their differences and come together tonight.
Xia Brookside versus Candice LeRae – WWE Speed Women’s Championship Qualifying Match
Man, WWE needs to snap up Xia whenever they can. Why the hell does LeRae still have a job in WWE? Speed matches are three minutes long. Xia is dumped off the top rope with 1:45 left. She misses a splash off the ropes though. Candice hits a Tornado DDT from the top rope, a senton and a springboard moonsault for the win.
Winner: Candice LeRae
Briggs walks into the locker room daring someone to say something to his face. Kale Dixon
and Uriah Connors aren’t going to be pushed around by a locker room bully. Andre Chase steps in. Connors and Dixon know that Chase is going to teach Briggs a lesson. They want GM Ava to make the match tonight.
GM Ava meets with Fatal Influence, Sol Ruca, Zaria, Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley. Ava wants a team from NXT to get a Women’s Tag Team Championship opportunity. Everyone starts arguing and quoting their recent accomplishments. Ava announces a triple threat, tag team elimination match for next week.
Dark State reminds everyone that nobody is safe.
TNA Heavyweight Champion Trick Williams heads down to the ring to spout off. Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa bust out. The arena goes crazy. They decided to stop by because it is the 10 year anniversary of their NXT debut. Gargano and Ciampa sing he praises of Williams but then point out how many times they have held the titles that Williams has. He says that they defined their era in NXT. Ciampa walks up to Williams and rips his sunglasses off.
“Take off these stupid things when I am talking to you,” he says.
Gargano says they paved the way for people like Williams. Williams warns Ciampa not to lay his hands on him ever again because he cannot even beat his “girls’ ass”, referring to Lash Legend. Williams says he took over and kicked both of them back to the Medeval days. The crowd starts chanting for ‘Melo! Melo!’.
Gargano asks Ciampa if he “wants to talk about it”? Ciampa pushes Williams. They double team Williams and give him their finisher. They then lay the championship belt over him.
GM Ava enters the medical, training-room with security. If Evans promises not to interfere in Briggs’ match this week he will get him next week. Security escorts him from the building.
GM Ava is busy tonight. She meets with Ethan Page and Tavion Heights. She makes a flag match between Page and Heights next week.
Evolve Women’s Champion Kali Armstrong versus Jordynne Grace
Grace wins with an awkward Beast Mode slam. Blake Monroe’s music plays. They throw hands. Monroe is tossed into the steel ring steps. Security breaks them up. Monroe’s lip is bleeding. She is pissed.
Winner: Jordynne Grace
Lola Vice takes us on a journey through her family and Cuban culture in Miami.
Josh Briggs versus Andre Chase
Chase has Briggs reeling with his agility. Once Briggs catches him though, he slams him into the steel post. Chase catches Briggs in a corner, laying in some punches. Chase tries to follow up with a bulldog but gets slammed. Briggs puts Chase on the top rope. They battle there. Briggs nails a Bossman Slam but Chase stunners him. Briggs kicks out of splash from the top rope. Chokeslam, big boot. Chase is pinned. Briggs beats the snot out of Chase’s students next.
Winner: Josh Briggs
Trick Williams says he won’t let DIY’s double-team go unanswered. He promises to see them next week, with a surprise.
Hank, Tank, Oba Femi and Ricky Saints versus DarkState
Femi and Saints start fighting on their own and disappear to the back never to return. Dark State tries their nonsense like they did at Heat Wave. Cutler is about to chokeslam Hank.
Hank: Joe Hendry!
Hendry appears! His mere presence distracts Dark State. Hank and Tank get the pin. As we go to credits, Oba and Ricky are still brawling in the back.
Winners: Hank, Tank, Oba Femi and Ricky Saints
