The fourth night of NJPW’s Road to Destruction tour featured a line-up of tag team matches with the main event pitting Just Five Guys (Taka Michinoku, Douki, Taichi and Sanada) against The House of Torture (Dick Togo, Evil, Sho and Yujiro Takahashi) to push their feud ahead. Evil was still smiling and carrying around the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship belt he stole and never won from Sanada. The entire House of Torture faction are wearing shirts of Evil with the belt declaring him the champion.
With Kanemaru injured it is up to Douki to bring down his bottle of whiskey so he is there in spirit, so to speak. Douki pulls apart a barricade so that Taichi and Sanada can walk through and greet the crowd, shake their hands which shocks everyone in attendance. The ring announcer refuses to say something that Sho is demanding of him, probably that Evil is the REAL champion or something of that nature. He rushes out of the ring before House of Torture can kick the crap out of him. The fans cheer the announcer.
House of Torture attacks Just Five Guys before the bell can be rung to start the match. Sho takes Taichi out to the floor as Evil chokes out Sanada with Douki’s steel pipe. Sho yells at fans to move before he throws Taichi through a row of seats. Evil batters Sanada with the pipe. Sho chokes Taichi out with the bell hammer.
Back in the ring, Evil begins choking Douki with one of those t-shirts. Sanada attacks him. Togo wraps his garotte around Sanada’s neck from behind while Evil distracts the official in a corner. Sho whips Taichi towards one of the turnbuckles. Evil pulls it off so that Taichi hits the exposed steel.
Evil and Yujiro hold Taka’s legs open so that Togo can hit a chop to his “lower abdomen”. Sanada whips Evil into the steel barricades on the floor.
Evil pulls referee Red Shoes into Sanada’s way. Red Shoes is obliterated and falls to the mat clutching his ribs or chest. Yujiro hits Sanada in the face with his walking stick. The House of Torture puts the boots to a downed Sanada. Togo holds Sanada as Evil slaps his face. Sho attempts to hit Sanada with his wrench but Taichi dives into the ring spitting Kanemaru’s whiskey into his eyes and then Evil’s. Taichi and Douki fight off Yujiro and Sho. Douki dives on Yujiro on the floor smashing him into the barricade. Taka drops Togo with the Michinoku Driver and Sanada pins him with a Shining Wizard.
Sanada slips out to the floor grabbing ahold of Evil immediately after the three count is slapped. He throws him through rows of seats with people still in them. Sanada wails on Evil. Evil and the rest of The House of Torture scurry to the back. Evil carries Sanada’s title with him.
Road to Destruction – Night Three Results
Hiromu Takahashi vs Yuto Nakashima
Hiromu wins with a simple Boston Crab.
Winner: Hiromu Takahashi
Tomoaki Honma and Togi Makabe vs Oskar Leube and Boltin Oleg
Honma and Makabe hit Leube with a double clothesline, Makabe’s Lariat, Honma’s Kokeshi and Makabe’s King Kong Knee Drop for the pin.
Winners: Tomoaki Honma and Togi Makabe
Yoh, Toru Yano and Hiroshi Tanahashi versus Ryusuke Taguchi, Tiger Mask and Satoshi Kojima
Yano dodges Tiger Mask who ends up spin kicking Taguchi in the “lower abdomen”. Yano punches them both in the “lower abdomen” and rolls up Tiger Mask for the win.
Winners: Yoh, Toru Yano and Hiroshi Tanahashi
Chaos (Tomohiro Ishii, Yoshi-Hashi, Hirooki Goto and Kazuchika Okada) versus TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr., Bad Dude Tito, Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls)
Haste and Nicolls put Hashi away with their Highway to Hell finisher. After the bell, Ishii and Tito trade blows and Haste, Nicholls pose with and then just dump the IWGP Tag Team Championship belts onto the fallen Goto and Hashi. Haste and Nicholls will face Goto and Hashi for the belts at Destruction.
Winners: TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr., Bad Dude Tito, Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls)
Los Ingobernables de Japón (Bushi, Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito and Yota Tsuji) versus The United Empire (Callum Newman, The Great-O-Khan, Jeff Cobb and Henare)
Tsuji pins Newman with his spear.
Winners: Los Ingobernables de Japón (Bushi, Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito and Yota Tsuji)
Master Wato, Shota Umino, Yuji Nagata versus Ren Narita, El Desperado and Minoru Suzuki
Desperado pins Wato with Pinche Loco. The bell rings again and again but Suzuki refuses to let go of his choke or sleeper on Nagata. As he is heading to the back, Suzuki is patted on the arm by a fan. Suzuki snaps and pulls the security rail apart. Nagata has to be helped to the back.
Winners: Ren Narita, El Desperado and Minoru Suzuki
