Greetings and Salutations! It’s Monday so that means that it is time for a new edition of WWE’s Monday Night RAW on Netflix. We are mere days away from Saturday Night’s Main Event and tonight will be treated as a “go-home” show. With a new World Heavyweight Champion to be crowned this Saturday, all eyes will be on tonights RAW as CM Punk and Jey Uso will go face to face. Also on tonight’s RAW we will see:
- Nikki Bella vs. Roxanne Perez
- Penta vs. Rusev – Intercontinental Title No. 1 Contender’s match
- Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley & Lyra Valkyria – Women’s Tag Team Championship match
Wo without further ado, let’s get straight to the action.
The World Heavyweight Championship belt was displayed in the ring as Jey Uso Yeet’s his through the crowd as he always does. After spending some time and Yeeting with the commentators, Jey grabs a mic and said he’s been getting tons of advice and words from Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, and even his mother, but he doesn’t care what anyone thinks—declaring, “It’s just me, Uce.”
CM Punk comes out and reminded everyone that Jey eliminated his own brother during the battle royal and that it was all good and fair because Jey proved that has what it takes. Punk said he needs to win the World Heavyweight Championship and asked how far Jey would go once he’s down and can’t “Yeet” his way out. Jey responded that he’s used to deep waters and knows how to swim. He accused Punk of trying to make him look like the villain and fired back, “Screw you, Punk. On Saturday, I’ll show you who the best in the world is.” Jey ended with his catchphrase and dropped the mic.
The commentary team reviewed how AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defeated Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh to capture the World Tag Team Championships.
Dominik Mysterio stormed into the Judgment Day clubhouse, venting to Raquel Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, Finn Bálor, and JD McDonagh about having to defend his Intercontinental Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event against the winner of Rusev vs. Penta. Frustrated, he asked what their plan was. Bálor and McDonagh, preoccupied with reclaiming the tag titles, told him he’d have to handle it himself. After they walked out, Dominik made a secretive phone call, telling the person on the other end that he needed backup. Perez considered going after him, but Rodriguez persuaded her to stay focused on her own upcoming match.
Nikki Bella was spotted walking through the backstage area…
Penta made his way to the ring just before the first commercial break…
Once back from break, Actor O’Shea Jackson Jr. and several players from the LA Galaxy were shown in attendance in Anaheim just about 40 minutes from where the World Series is taking place at this very moment.
We see the tail end of Rusev’s entrance…
Penta vs. Rusev – Winner gets a Intercontinental Championship Opportunity
Penta knocked Rusev out of the ring and went for a baseball slide, but Rusev dodged it. When Penta charged again, Rusev caught him and slammed him onto the steel steps. [C]
After the break, Penta had the upper hand until he leapt off the top rope and was caught midair by a Machka Kick, giving Rusev a close near fall. Penta countered Rusev’s attempt at The Accolade and hit the Penta Driver for a strong two-count. Both men, exhausted, exchanged punches from their knees.
The match came to an abrupt end when Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano stormed the ring, attacking both Penta and Rusev.
No Contest
After the match, El Grande Americano hits the ring to join Rayo and Bravo in their assault on Rusev and Penta. The Luchadores get the upperhand as they hear it from the crowd. Rusev stormed back and tossed Rayo and Bravo out of the ring. As Americano tried to retreat, Penta caught up to him and landed a few stiff shots before he made his escape.
Backstage, Jackie Redmond caught up with LA Knight and asked what his next move would be after not winning last week’s Battle Royal. Knight said he wasn’t concerned with Jey Uso’s reasons for what happened last week and all that mattered was that Jey advanced to Saturday Night’s Main Event and he didn’t. Knight made it clear that whether it’s Jey Uso or CM Punk who walks out as champion, he’s coming for whoever wins and is World Heavyweight Champion.
Backstage, Bron Breakker told Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman that the two of them should’ve wiped out everyone in last week’s battle royal. Reed agreed, but Heyman reminded them that if they had, Adam Pearce would’ve suspended the whole group without pay. Heyman then chats about Punk and Jey Uso and said that they would tear each other apart at Saturday Night’s Main Event, and whoever survives will show up on Raw as a victim waiting to be taken out by someone and they all know who they are talking about. Breakker demanded that Heyman ask Pearce for a match with that person, and Heyman just smiled and said that he already has. Later tonight we will get Bron Breakker versus LA Knight.
Tessitore mentioned that Asuka made her main roster debut ten years ago this week, and then an Asuka video package aired
Backstage, Adam Pearce was on the phone when Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh walked up to him. Pearce mentioned that he needed to have a word with Dominik Mysterio, but Bálor and McDonagh both demanded a rematch for the World Tag Team Titles against AJ Styles and Dragon Lee (AJ LEE…get it?!?!). Pearce told them they already had business to handle tonight as one of them would be facing Sheamus, who was furious over being illegally eliminated from last week’s battle royal. McDonagh stepped up and said he’d take care of Sheamus and return after tearing his head off.
Nikki Bella vs. Roxanne Perez w/ Raquel Rodriguez
Perez mockingly offered respect to Nikki Bella, but Bella swatted her hand away. Perez slapped her to the apron, and Bella fought back with a sunset flip for a near fall and a dropkick. The two exchanged headlocks and strikes, with Perez briefly taking control before Bella countered and sent her outside to regroup with Raquel Rodriguez. Bella followed, tossing Perez into the barricade and back into the ring, hitting the turnbuckles before climbing the ropes. Perez grabbed her legs, but Bella kicked her off.
After a referee check, Rodriguez interfered, allowing Perez to hit a guillotine slingshot and taunt Bella. Bella takes control early with punches, forearms, and a boot, but both women collide in a double hair pull. Bella fires back with clotheslines, a dropkick, and a diving kick for a near fall. Perez briefly gains the upper hand with a sleeper hold and a roll-up attempt, while Bella counters with a spinebuster and knocks Rodriguez off the apron. Bella goes for Rack Attack 2.0, but Perez elbows out, avoids a spear, and hits Pop Rox for the win.
Winner: Roxanne Perez
After the match, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer is out to check on Nikki. Rodriguez stepped into the ring, and Vaquer rose to confront her, getting right in her face (or at least her chin). Nikki got to her feet and joined Vaquer, and the two stared down Rodriguez until she finally exited the ring.
We see video from last Friday on X, where Bayley goaded Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss into a Tag Title Match on Raw.
Backstage, Asuka chewed out Lyra Valkyria for having a tag title match, with Kairi Sane quietly standing nearby. Once the Kabuki Warriors left, Bayley appeared and handed Valkyria a matching jacket. She then asked what would happen if they lost the match, but Valkyria fired back, asking what if they won instead. Bayley liked the attitude, and the two celebrated with a hand slap that surprised them both when it connected perfectly.
Backstage, Jimmy Uso confronted Jey Uso, upset over Jey’s “it’s just me now” mindset. Jimmy reminded him that he had saved Jey twice during the battle royal. Jey dismissed it, saying it was every man for himself. Jimmy argued that their plan had been to eliminate everyone else first, and only then would it become every man for himself between the last two. He claimed Jey was too scared to see what would have happened if they had been the final two.
Bron Breakker (w/Bronson Reed, Paul Heyman) vs. LA Knight
Breakker started strong with a clothesline, but Knight quickly fired back with a crossbody for a near fall. Knight sent Breakker to the floor and then through the ropes. Knight hit a superplex and nearly got the win before taking out Reed on the apron and slamming Breakker’s head on the broadcast table several times. Back in the ring, Knight avoided a press and hit a DDT, going for a double jump elbow drop, but Breakker kipped up, speared Knight, and scored the pin.
Winner: Bron Breakker
Adam Pearce was seen looking for Dominik Mysterio backstage and eventually found him talking with the Americanos. Once the group walked off, Pearce told Dom that he would have to defend his title in a Triple Threat match against Rusev and Penta.
Backstage, Jey Uso reassured Jimmy that he’s his brother and that nothing could change that. He reminded Jimmy that he had threatened to throw him over the top rope, but it never happened, and called out Jimmy for confronting him just days before the biggest match of his career, saying it felt like a betrayal. Jey then asked if they were good, and Jimmy replied, “I feel you,” before they sealed it with a handshake.
Sheamus vs. JD McDonagh (w/Finn Balor)
Sheamus started strong, dominating early until Balor pulled McDonagh to the floor to protect him from Ten Beats. Sheamus hit both with a double clothesline.
McDonagh landed a 450 splash for a near fall and traded kicks with Sheamus, eventually avoiding Ten Beats with a headbutt. Sheamus responded with a rolling senton and hit Ten Beats again before going for his finisher, which McDonagh interrupted with a flying knee and an inside cradle for two. Sheamus hit a High Cross, but Balor broke the pin by putting McDonagh’s foot on the rope.
Sheamus dropped to the apron, striking Balor with a knee, then tossed McDonagh back in after roughing him at ringside. As Sheamus climbed the ropes, Balor used the shillelagh while the referee was distracted, allowing McDonagh to hit a top-rope Spanish Fly for the win.
Winner: JD McDonagh
Backstage, Adam Pearce spoke with Maxxine Dupri, who claimed she had earned a third shot at Becky Lynch. Dupri mentioned she needed to call a friend to be ready for anything Lynch might throw at her. She vowed to take the title and shock everyone, including Lynch. Pearce told her to reach out when she’s ready for the match.
Backstage, Jackie Redmond congratulated Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss on their 89-day reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Redmond noted how frequently they defended the titles. Bliss said any team willing to step up could face them, while Flair added they were just two victories away from setting the record for most successful Women’s Tag Team title defenses. “The Kabuki Warriors,” Asuka and Kairi Sane, appeared backstage. Asuka declared that neither Lyra Valkyria and Bayley nor Flair and Bliss deserved the titles. Flair responded that she’s defeated Asuka many times and that she and Bliss would be honored to face them. Asuka dismissed them and said they weren’t ready, and walked off. Sane opened an umbrella but quickly ran when Asuka called for her.
Backstage, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee met with Adam Pearce, saying they were ready to face any team he deemed worthy of a challenge. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh then arrived, and Styles and Lee accepted the matchup, which Pearce officially scheduled for next week’s Raw.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair vs. Lyra Valkyria and Bayley – WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles
Alicia Taylor delivered in-ring introductions for the championship match. After some back and forth, Bliss made a blind tag, but Bayley stopped her on the apron and continued working over Flair. Valkyria tagged in, only for Bliss to hit a Sister Abigail. Bliss went for the pin, but Bayley broke it up. Valkyria came right back and hit a Night Wing on Bliss and went for the pin, which Flair broke up.
Flair and Bayley tagged in, with Bayley attacking Flair with chops before running into a big boot. Flair locked in the Figure Eight, and just as Bayley was about to submit, Valkyria grabbed her arm to prevent the tap. Bliss hit Twisted Bliss on Valkyria, then Flair and Bliss connected on stereo Natural Selections, allowing Flair to pin Bayley for the win.
Winners and STILL WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions – Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair
The Kabuki Warriors storm the ring, targeting Flair and Bliss. Asuka lifts Flair while Kairi Sane lands an InSane Elbow. They then turn their assault on Valkyria, but Bayley rushes in to chase them off. The Kabuki Warriors retreat up the ramp as the show comes to a close.
