Embedded between a packed WrestleMania weekend, NXT Stand & Deliver officially began at 10 a.m. PST in T-Mobile Arena. Mere hours after the WWE Hall of Fame, fans in Las Vegas gradually woke up at the show, putting the Xfinity Live and Loud Meter to the test. But as the opening package stated, NXT wrestlers’ “thirst for gold” like the Las Vegas pioneers gave way to an infectious card by the end.
Ricky Saints (c) vs Ethan Page – North American Championship
Saints and Page have recovered the ball for a pick six. Saints shows fire, but the challenger gains control with an apron powerslam. Page avoids a springboard crossbody that sends Saints hard into the announce desk, but the latter comes back with a tornado DDT and spinebuster. “Tony fumbled” chants arise in Las Vegas as Saints hits a powerbomb, and Page recovers with Ego’s Edge for two. Reversing the Twisted Grin, the champion hits a spear and Rochambeau for victory in a match resembling a cup of morning coffee.
Winner: Ricky Saints
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger vs Fraxiom (c) – NXT Tag Team Championships
After defeating NXT’s negligible tag team division in a gauntlet on Tuesday, tonight’s championship match tests if Walker and Ledger translate anywhere else besides the Performance Center. Fraxiom wrestle like lightning, and their zig-zag offense is mesmerizing like always. Ledger makes a comeback with infectious energy, and if anything, the challengers have that. Axiom hurricanranas Walker from the apron onto his partner, but the latter continues fighting out of maneuvers like Nathan Frazer’s 450 Splash. Walker takes suicide dive literally with a crash into the announce desk, but Ledger stays alive to “NXT” chants. Axiom hits the avalanche Spanish Fly, Frazer hits the Phoenix Splash, and Walker makes the save that gets people standing. Las Vegas hits the “honk honk” with them as Walker and Ledger hit their double-team finisher for victory – not only scoring in a breakout match but becoming the team to end Fraxiom’s division-carrying reign.
Winners: Hank Walker and Tank Ledger
Penn of Penn and Teller is interrupted backstage by Heritage Cup Champion Lexis King, who says their magic doesn’t fool him. Penn places the cup inside a cage and turns it into Teller, who yeets in King’s face.
Thea Hail vs Lola Vice vs Izzi Dame vs Kehlani Jordan vs Zaria vs Sol Ruca – Women’s North American Championship Ladder Match
The vacated Women’s North American Championship hangs from the rafters, last held by double-champion Stephanie Vaquer. The former champion defeated Giulia for the NXT Women’s Championship despite the latter not needing injury time, so both lineages are muddied in the process. However, this does provide the multi-person demolition derby WrestleMania lacks this year. Highlight spots include Zaria’s ladder airplane spin, Jordan moonsaulting her onto a ladder, and Dame powerbombing Ruca halfway up one. The Culling arrive to back up Dame – and additionally eat Hail’s outside dive from a notably tall ladder. Jordan splashes Vice onto a bridged ladder, Zaria sends her back into The Culling, and Za-Ruca square off on top of the ladder. Ruca boots her off, hits two consecutive Sol Snatchers and retrieves the belt in a well-earned victory – of course, adding onto her hardware collection alongside the Women’s Speed Championship.
Winner: Sol Ruca
Before the official show, Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley defeated Meta-Four, Fatal Influence, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade to become the number-one contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Accompanied by Shotzi, the winners show excitement in an interview despite Paxley’s chance of reconnecting with Lyra Valkyria.
The D’Angelo Family vs Darkstate
A cinematic hype package precedes, doing justice to faction warfare. Darkstate jumpstarts four-on-three, but Channing Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino get ahead with Shatter Machine. Dion Lennox mauls the latter outside, beginning Darkstate’s lead with erratic tags and offense. Meanwhile, cameras focus on Tony D’Angelo’s aloof face until he makes the comeback, suplexing Saquon Shugars onto Osiris Griffin. Cutler James illegally attacks Crusifino ringside, but Adriana Rizzo takes him out with a crossbody. In-ring, D’Angelo refuses to use Lorenzo’s crowbar and instead biels him onto the opposition. But with the referee distracted by James, Lorenzo uses it on Shugars and eyes down D’Angelo, ultimately hitting him with a low blow. “I never trusted you,” Lorenzo says, as Darkstate capitalizes with a three-on-one powerbomb for victory. The remnants of NXT 2.0 continue to dissipate like a snap from Thanos.
Winners: The D’Angelo Family
New NXT Tag Team Champion Hank Walker and Tank Ledger say the output matches the input. “These moments are not possible without each other,” Ledgers says.
Giulia vs Jaida Parker vs Jordynne Grace vs Stephanie Vaquer (c) – NXT Women’s Championship
Corey Grave bluntly says that Grace has “coasted off her reputation” and needs this win. For the others, Giulia hit a roadblock losing the championship at Roadblock, Parker is building stock, and Vaquer has far surpassed the opposition. The champion’s technical prowess stands above the clutter, and meanwhile, she and Giulia proceed as frenemies. In a feat of strength, Grace hoists Vaquer and Giulia up as Parker connects with a top-rope blockbuster – one that almost spikes her. Giulia’s limelight doesn’t connect but floors Vaquer with a series of headbutts, and after, Parker stacks all three opponents for her signature hip drop. Vaquer wakes Las Vegas, and Booker T, up with three consecutive thigh smashes. Parker hits two Hipnotics, but Vaquer follows with the Spiral Tap and SVB on her to retain.
Winner: Stephanie Vaquer
Lexis King scours the backstage area for his Heritage Cup before cameras catch Channing Lorenzo leaving the parking lot. He tells Luca Crusifino to keep his phone close, and he’ll conveniently see him Tuesday.
Trick Williams vs Je’Von Evans vs Oba Femi (c) – NXT Championship
20-year-old Evans headlines on WrestleMania weekend and immediately gets bouncy. Femi begins dominating by fireman’s-carrying both and gorilla-pressing Williams with ease. The latter shows out with agility, and a mid-air collision with Evans is described by Booker T as a car crash. Evans continues impressing with a bottom-rope springboard moonsault and Whisper in the Wind to both. Williams little-bros the former by bodyslamming Femi and superplexing him off the champion’s shoulders. They trade strikes, Evans cutters Femi and eventually hits the bodyslam and top-rope cutter for a big nearfall. Meanwhile, Williams takes out the referee before Femi throws Evans through the barricade, and the former sends the champion through the announce desk. Williams hits Trick Shot, Femi restrains the referee, Evans hits a double cutter, but the champion ultimately hits Fall From Grace for victory.
