If you thought you would never see another Blindfold Match since Jake “The Snake” Roberts vs. Rick Martel at WrestleMania VII bombed so badly but WWE bookers throughout the years have jumped at the chance to improve upon that disaster. Tonight, it is NXT’s chance to redo history.
The Revolution starts our show tonight. Ricky Saints isn’t dressed for action though. What’s up with that? He praises Je’Von Evans for his performance at Heatwave. He calls out NXT Champion Oba Femi.
Josh Briggs comes out though. He says Saints has only been in NXT six months. He is done with “outsiders” getting opportunities they don’t deserve.
Saints praises Briggs but he isn’t standing in the back of the line.
“You look like Sid from Toy Story,” jokes Saints as they get ready to throwdown.
Before they can GM Ava arrives on the scene. Nobody has heard from Je’Von since he lost at Heatwave. Briggs and Saints will battle tonight to face Femi at No Mercy for the title.
