We open this week’s broadcast with The Culling and NXT Women’s Champion Tatum Paxley coming to the ring.
The Champ has something to say. The NXT Universe chants “Tatum Tuesday!”.
Paxley admits she has to listen to her friends more. It is her fault The Culling lost last week. Izzi says she and The Culling just want the best for her. Izzi argues Tatum should be a champion for herself not the NXT Universe. According Izzi, Tatum is treating the title like a participation trophy.
Out come Fatal Influence. Jayne pushes Tatum to be a fighting champion and give her a rematch because she deserves it. Izzi tells Jayne that Tatum has nothing to prove.
“It is her title not yours. You don’t even know what it is like to be a champion,” says Jayne to Izzi.
Tatum promises Jayne a title match at Gold Rush. Izzi throws up her hands in frustration.
The Vanity Project meets with GM Ava. Jackson Drake cannot wait to defend his WWE Evolve Championship at Gold Rush. In comes Ethan Page and Chelsea Green. Alba Fyre says Thea Hail and The Unmentionable One don’t have clearance for the mixed tag match next week. Ava disagrees. Jasper Troy and El Grande Americano head to the ring for their Speed Championship Match.
El Grande Americano vs. Jasper Troy – Men’s Speed Championship match
Troy spears Americano into a corner right off the bat then whips him into another corner. Troy slams Americano not allowing him to catch his breath. Americano labels Troy with some kicks taking him down to the mat. Americano makes the mistake of trading punches with Troy. Troy catches him, head butts him down to the mat and drives him down with Mongolian Chops a kick to the face and big splash.
With two minutes left and Troy on the floor, Americano leaps through the ropes only to be punched in the face. Troy picks up his chain. Americano’s buddies pull it away from him. Troy stands there arguing with them. The official sends them to the back. Americano leaps onto Troy on the floor. Americano is given a metal plate before they leave. Americano is caught by the official putting the plate in his mask. He drops it to the mat. Troy pins him with a Black Hole Slam.
Winner: Jasper Troy
Thea Hail is backstage. She wonders where Joe is? She says his name…and he appears. Joe is thankful to have her for a partner. Thea Hail believes in herself just as much as she believes in Joe Hendry.
GM Ava chats with Sean Legacy. He thanks her for the opportunity at Gold Rush. In come Sol Ruca and Zaria. Ava explains that she read the medical report and Ruca is cleared to compete now. She wants Blake Monroe next week. Ava says she will get her match but she needs to appreciate and understand the risks.
Thea Hail versus Alba Fyre
Joe Hendry accompanies Hail to the ring. Page and Green are with Fyre. Fyre breaks out of Hail’s arm lock by just slamming her into a corner. She tackles Hail in a corner as Page and Green cheer her on. They get into a slugfest. Hail snaps. She takes down Fyre laying in haymaker after haymaker. Fyre gets drop kicked out of the ring. Hail leaps onto Fyre on the floor. Hail attempts to clock Green. Fyre dives onto her laying her out. Fyre chokes Hail over the ropes as she laughs at Hendry. Fyre does the same thing on the other side of the ring for Page and Green.
As Fyre distracts the official Green chokes Hail over the ropes. Hail locks in the Kimura Lock. Page leaps on the apron. Hendry whips him into a steel post. Green swings at Hendry. He ducks. She hits Page instead. Hail splashes Chelsea. Hail rolls up Fyre for the win. Hail and Hendry celebrate on the floor.
Winner: Thea Hail
As Ricky Saints has his ribs taped up Tatum asks him for his advice. “You need to be the champion you want to be,” says Saints. The Culling arrive. Tatum has something to tell Saints but The Culling drag her away before she can. “She is a little weird but I kind of like it,” says Saints about Tatum.

Blake Monroe interviews herself and this is all very weird and doesn’t make much sense. One side she is in a dress and the other she is in dark pants and blouse. The Dark Blake insists the Light Blake never truly broke Zaria and Ruca apart. She criticizes her being willing to do what it takes to win too. “You aren’t going to beat Sol by outshining her…There is only one way you can beat her. With me by your side. You are going to have to break her. You need me to be a part of this,” she says.
J-Von Evans announces that he is going to be in The Last Time Is Now tournament. He gives Leon Slater an update on the phone.
Sarah Schreiber interviews Jordynne Grace backstage about her upcoming match against TNA Knockouts Champion, Kelani Jordan. Grace maintains that by cheating Kelani takes the easy way out and is just lazy. Grace reminds everyone she was champ three times and she is going to course correct the entire women’s division next week.
J-Von Evans tells the NXT Universe that he is going to be in The Last Time Is Now tournament fighting Gunther in Madison Square Gardens. He is hyped for that. Evans alerts the production truck to put Leon Slater on the big screen…and he appears. Next week, Slater and Evans will face Dark State for the tag team titles. The lights turn out and Dark State surround the ring. Slater comes running to Evans’ aid. He was in the arena the entire time. They fight Dark State off.
Trick Williams and Kelani Jordan chat in the back. Jordan tells him he was right. It is lonely at the top. She is picking Williams tonight to win. Williams: “Sometimes you got to be selfish.” He says Kelani needs to prove to everyone why she is…Her.
Skylar Raye vs. Fallon Henley – Women’s Speed Championship match
Raye is the winner of LFG season two. Henley drops Raye across the top rope on her throat. A bulldog and a Famouser pins Ray. It will be Henley versus Zaria for the Women’s Speed Championship.
Winner: Fallon Henley
Jasper Troy is walking outside. He promises more pain is to come. Dark State burst through a door outside. They promise that Evans and Slater are going to pay next week.
Josh Briggs versus Tavion Heights
Both men charge each other but Briggs kicks Heights in the head. Briggs beats Heights all around the ring with punches, stomps and kicks. Heights battles back with some hip tosses and suplex. He grounds Briggs for quite some time. Briggs misses a big boot. Belly to belly suplex by Heights for the win.
Winner: Tavion Heights
GM Ava speaks to Myles Borne. She doesn’t want him interfering in the title match tonight. Borne reminds her Trick hit him in the back of the head with a steel chair last week. A receipt is coming. Borne says he wants to get a better look at the main event. Ava asks him not to interfere. Wren Sinclair and Kendral Grey stumble by. They need a third member of their group. Out of nowhere, Lainey Reid slaps Grey in the face and they brawl.
Ricky Saints vs. Trick Williams – Last Man Standing, NXT Championship match
Trick comes out carrying a kendo stick. Tricks swings at Saints. Saints ducks and ducks. As they battle for possession of the stick, Saints walks the ropes and gains control of the stick. He beats on Williams knocking him over the top rope to the floor.
They have a steel chair duel on the floor. Saints drops his upon impact. Saints tosses Trick into the steel ring steps. Trick smashes a trash can over Saints’ back and into his ribs. Trick slams Saints on the can.

Trick ties Saints into the ropes. He wails on him with the kendo stick targeting those taped ribs. The stick actually breaks on the last hit. Trick switches to a steel chair. He whacks Saints across his back. Saints gets back up at six.
Saints spits blood at Trick. Saints waffles Trick with a trash can lid. Trick traps Saints in the ring apron. He puts a garbage can over his head and hits it over and over with a kendo stick until it splinters apart.
Back in the ring, Trick begins pulling at the bandages wrapped around Saints’ ribs. Back on the floor, Trick charges at Saints. Saints moves out of the way and Trick puts himself through a barricade. Trick barely gets back to his feet in time.

Saints goes nuts with a kendo stick on Trick. Trick looks to be bleeding from his ear. Saints hits Trick over and over with a steel chair. Trick gets up at nine. Saints spears Trick. Trick throws Saints into a steel chair propped up in a corner. Trick smashes the steel ring steps into Saints’ head. Saints is up at nine. When he stands, Trick hits his Trick Shot. Trick then Bookends Saints on steel steps. He takes the steps, puts them over Saints and stands on them as the official counts.
Saints slips out. He charges at Trick with a chain around his neck. Trick moves out of the way. Saints goes through a wall. Saints survives to get into a slugfest with Trick. They begin fighting into the crowd it self. A Trick Shot knocks Saint into a seat so the count cannot begin yet.
Saints spears Trick from the stands through the announce table. Both men try to get back to their feet. As the official counts, Saints stand up but Trick is on his knees. The official keeps counting as Saints pie-faces him back down. The official counts Trick out. That made no sense but…
Winner: …and still NXT Champion, Ricky Saints.
The lights go dark…and Oba Femi’s music plays.
