The Country Gentlemen have claimed they always do things by the book, and they back it up as the US Tag Team Champions in the National Wrestling Alliance. Now, The Southern Six want to claim gold, and Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton want to knock down AJ and KC Cazana down a peg or two. Are the stars aligning in the Southern skies for the Six, or will The Country Gentlemen bestow more Hard Times on this signature event?
We’ll find out later tonight, as we head backstage with the Paige sisters on this episode of Kross Fire Paige 37876™. Kylie asks Kenzie if she’s worried about tonight, and Kenzie agrees, citing some rumors she’s heard. Apparently, she caught wind that her fiancé, Hunter, has been going around behind her back with Kylie. Kylie says she would never hurt her in any way, plus…it’s the Internet. How right can it be? Kenzie looks at her sister and asks if the rumors are true, and Kylie again assures her sister that she would never hurt her like that in any way.
(Author’s Note: Not to be a Gossip Girl, but…you know how this is gonna go, right?)
We come to you from the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan, AL, for more Hard Times. Joe Galli, Billy Corgan, and Danny Dealz have the call. Your First Match of the Night is for the…

NWA Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Kenzie Paige and Big Mama(c) vs. TVMA (Tiffany Nieves and Valentina Rossi) (with Ms. Starr)
This is the first time we’ve seen Big Mama since she lost the NWA Women’s Television title to Nieves, and you know that is going to be a factor heading into this match. Plus, Rossi seems to compliment La Princesa as Starr holds the Television title at a seething Mama who is staring at both women.
Rossi and Paige start, and the new member of TVMA pie faces the champ. Well, that doesn’t fly, and while they jockey back and forth for position, Paige shows championship poise as she tackles Rossi and outwrestles her. Mama tags in and tosses Rossi from pillar to post. She rushes for a splash, and Rossi gets away in time and tags Nieves. Mama gets hold of the Television champ and is wasting no time venting her frustrations. She gives a scoop and a slam, and La Princesa rolls out. Mama grabs Nieves by the hair, and Starr distracts the ref with her antics. She pulls Mama down throat-first on the top rope to stun gun her, and now the match turns in favor of La Princesa. Nieves chop blocks the powerhouse, and she and Rossi cut the ring in half as Big Mama is in Peril. She whips her to the corner and comes after her with running double knees. Mama catches her and sets her up on the top turnbuckle, but Nieves manages to yank on her braids and gives a facebuster to cover for a two count. TVMA goes for a double clothesline, but Mama breaks through clotheslining both women. A hot tag to Paige, who is a Champion en Fuego, and then she stage dives on all the women on the outside. Tag back to Mama and they go for a double team, until Rossi pulls Paige out of the ring and Nieves rolls Mama into an inside cradle as the ref gets into position to make the three count.

This is the second time Mama was on the losing end at the hands of Nieves, as La Princesa is dubbed by commentary as “Two Belt Tiffany.”
Carson Drake is with the Slimeballz in downtown Dothan, and he states he is the most successful wrestler in the NWA. He holds the NWA Television title and tells the current NWA World Heavyweight champion, Thom Latimer, that he’ll cash in his “lucky seven” title opportunity and boldly states he’s coming for the Ten Pounds of Gold. Meanwhile, Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant break into a car and then take out a suitcase, which has Latimer’s stuff, including the Ten Pounds of Gold. Drake has some fun, certain that he will win the gold at Hard Times.
We head back to the squared circle for a match between…

Mike Mondo vs. Zyon (with Austin Idol)
Max the Impaler was supposed to be in this match but pulled out for personal reasons, according to commentary, and Zyon answered the call.
They lock up, and both men go hold for counter hold. Mondo gets the upper hand and nails Zyon with a dropkick, and then an elbow drop gets a two count. Zyon rolls out while Mondo gets his push-up reps in. After a confab with Idol. He runs back to the ring as Mondo gives pursuit. As he climbs in between the ropes, Zyon gives him a knee to the side of his head and then a running spinning neckbreaker as Mondo lands awkwardly. The masked man picks him apart, giving European uppercuts to Mondo in the corner. Zyon admires his work before landing a jumping fist drop to cover, but it gets him a two count. Zyon with a snap suplex gets another near fall, and he torques his neck to set up his submission. Mondo stages a comeback with a series of pin attempts and then switches to the power game with an exploder suplex. He climbs up to the high-rent district and nails Zyon with a Blockbuster for another count of two. He goes for another high-risk maneuver but misses the mark. Idol blows his whistle, and out comes The Man They Call Frank. Before he can prove to be an “X” factor, Mondo delivers his Gut Check on Zyon for the pin and the win, and that’s all she wrote.
Your Winner via Pinfall: Mike Mondo
Joe Cazana is backstage with The Country Gentlemen, and he does not care for the Southern Six. He’s sick of all these unworthy individuals trying to take the NWA US Tag Team titles and they’re going to make an example out of Morton and Taylor. Or, as AJ puts it more succinctly, “Welcome to Hard Times. Population: Your Ass.”
That’s as clear a message as you’re gonna get.
Now for the Main Event, and it is for the…

NWA US Tag Team Championship: The Country Gentlemen (AJ and KC Cazana, with Joe Cazana)(c) vs. The Southern Six (Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton)
As the Gentlemen make their way down the ramp to the ring, Joe has a new golden NWA rule book. Wonder if that will play into this match. What’s also worth noting is that we learn The Six have been a thorn in the side of the Cazanas in their NWA Southeast-JCP promotion in Tennessee.
(Author’s Note: Wish the NWA would show some of those clips so fans not in the territories can experience that firsthand. Maybe they will on The Roku Channel)
AJ is champing at the bit, and once the bell rings, he and Morton start. The Rizz God is more than able to outwrestle the Gentleman, and then it quickly becomes a Pier Four brawl. Now, he and Taylor dropkick AJ out of the ring, as well as KC. Morton hits the ropes and nails a tope suicida outside, and Taylor follows suit. The Southern Six are firing on all cylinders until KC shoves him to his corner for AJ to get a blind tag, and he clubs Morton from behind. He recovers, and he and Taylor have double-team moves of their own. Taylor goes for a suplex, but AJ blocks and drops him midsection-first on the top ropes.
Now the Country Gentlemen have their fun and strut their stuff as Taylor is not Too Hot to Trot but clearly In Peril. AJ attempts to hit a powerbomb, but Taylor rolls through. He leaps for a tag, and Morton is in the mix, but the ref was dealing with KC and didn’t see it, and tells him to get back in his corner. KC chokes Taylor with the tag ropes, and the Gentlemen go for a double suplex, but Taylor manages to land on his feet. He finally gets the hot tag to Morton, and he is a Rizz God en Fuego. He drills a springboard cutter to KC, but can’t avoid a spinebuster by AJ. KC takes advantage and covers, but gets a two count. The Southern Six set up their finisher, but unbeknownst to them, AJ gets another blind tag. Although they deliver Six Speed to AJ, he is no longer the legal man, and they realize that when KC spears Taylor to cut him in half. “White Lightning” goes after the Rizz God, and Morton counters with a step-up enzugiri. Papa Joe is upset and starts jaw-jacking at Morton, who grabs him by the lapels. KC comes to make the save and tackles Papa Cazana instead. He throat chops Morton and then goes for a springboard corner splash, but KC crashes and burns as Morton stacks him up and grabs a handful of tights as the ref counts for the one, two, and three.

The stars are shining in the Southern sky as Morton and Taylor hold their new belts aloft as the show draws to a close.
