This NWA Powerrr marks the first day of The Reign of the Thrill Era, as “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason is now holding the Ten Pounds of Gold in the National Wrestling Alliance. Plus, we’ll see title defenses, including The Colóns taking on The Immortals for the NWA Tag Team titles in the main event, which is a rematch from the finals of the 2025 Crockett Cup.
We come to you from The PowerrrStation Office as NWA territories president, Joe Cazana, alongside his sons, The Country Gentlemen, who address the NWA roster. He says that he is taking over the NWA since William Patrick Corgan is absent. They’re gonna do things one way: by the book.

You can tell that the news is about as fun as hearing you’re getting laid off from work, just as a pandemic is about to hit (not that I can relate in any way).
We are in the PowerrrStation at the WEDU Studios in Tampa, FL. Kyle Davis is in the ring with Alex Taylor and Kerry Morton, and the squared circle is festooned with streamers and balloons, and they are here to celebrate the biggest man that ever lived. Out comes Mason with the NWA Heavyweight championship around his waist, and the “Thrillbilly” has a few words for the fans in attendance:
“Orville Bown. Lou Thesz. Terry Funk. Ricky Steamboat. Ric Flair.
Each and every single one of them [is] dead and gone, and if we’re being honest, they’re looking up from hell right now and saying, ‘Thank you, Thrillbilly. Thank you for carrying on the legacy. Thank you for being better than us in every single way.
I’m bigger. I’m better, and in this world ruled by dogs and animals, where men tear each other apart, there has to be one to put them in line and let everyone know that there’s only one big buck on this lick. And if you think you’re man enough, you come and test me right now, because the Thrillbilly is number 60. There’s only been 60 men in the history of this planet to hold on to this title, and that number will never change, because I will be the NWA World Heavyweight champion forever!”
Thom Latimer comes out from the back. Lest we think he’s here to spoil the festivities, he admits he lost fair and square, and extends congratulations to the new champion. Mason ain’t buying it. He calls out Latimer, saying, he can’t fool him, “Or these Tampa Bay turds,” and suggests he get to the back of the line.
Now Knox and Murdoch come out. Knox has his arm in a sling after their match at NWA 77. Murdoch reminds Latimer he’s a two-time NWA Heavyweight champ, and he never got his rematch, so what’s so special about him? Since Knox is going to be on the shelf for a while, he proposes that Latimer face him to determine the number one contender. Murdoch doesn’t care what type of match. Latimer responds in the affirmative, and I want this match sooner rather than later.

NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship: Alex Taylor(c) vs. Damian Fenrir
Fenrir won the King Bee tournament at NWA 77 to become the number one contender for the title. Taylor doesn’t think much of him as he pie faces the challenger. Once the match gets underway, Fenrir arm drags the champ and keeps control to ensure Taylor ain’t Too Hot to Trot. He connects with a standing dropkick and goes to the ropes, but Taylor dropkicks to trip him up. Now the Southern Six member breaks down Fenrir and nails a second rope superplex that looks rough on the way down. Fenrir comes back with clotheslines, followed by a backbreaker to an Emerald Flowsion powerslam for a two count. Once again, he attempts a high-risk maneuver in a somersault senton. He misses, and Taylor delivers the Green Whistle to retain.
Your Winner via Pinfall, and Still NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion: Alex Taylor
Looks like Fenrir realizes that when you’re Hot like Taylor, you’re Hot. But since he’s Not…well…
Natalia Markova cuts a promo on winning The Burke at NWA 77, and she is looking forward to starting the new era of The Crush.
The Slimeballz, Sage Chantz, and Tommy Rant are in a dumpster trying to figure out why they weren’t invited to “Thrillbilly’s” title celebration. Rant gets a little melancholy and thinks they are worth a damn. Chantz reminds him that they’re the slimiest and coolest people on the planet.

I mean, as pep talks come and go, it ain’t bad.
But let’s get back to the ring for the bloodletting…
(sorry. I meant your next match between…)

Nightmare Syn (Zyon and The Man They Call Frank, with Austin Idol) vs. Tyler Franks and Christiano Argento
Idol has now taken to blowing a whistle on the outside, and somewhere I feel Bill Alphonse is crying, “gimmick infringement.”
Zyon and Franks start jockeying for position. The Kross Fire gets an arm-drag and a dropkick on the masked man. Things are looking good until Argento tags himself in. One chop later by Zyon, and The Italian Excellence from Exodus Pro tags Franks back. He gets back on track until he hits the ropes, and the monster distracts Franks. That allows Zyon to land with a knee to his back to send him out of the ring. Frank proceeds to give him a choke slam on the apron edge, and it gets worse from there. Franks is rolled back in the squared circle, and Zyon nails a fist drop, and the Nightmare Syn cuts the ring in half. Franks manages to get a tag to Argento, and he gets leveled by Frank. One Hillside Strangler sitout powerbomb later ends it quickly and decisively.
Your Winners via Pinfall: Zyon and The Man They Call Frank
Meanwhile, Aron Stevens and Carson Drake are trying to figure out cousin Lockjaw Drake. They try to get a rise out of him, but he is expressionless.

NWA World Television Championship: Bryan Idol(c) vs. Slade (with Aron Stevens)
It’s The Looks That Kill against the man who makes everyone Fear The Gear. Still no time limit, as Idol wants this to be fairly contested. Galli also notes this is the fifth title defense for Idol, on his way to “Lucky Seven” for a shot at the Ten Pounds of Gold.
Slade puts on a technical clinic, but Idol is able to hit a dropkick. He follows with a jumping knee in the corner to a double arm suplex and then punches Slade in the head. He reverses to a German suplex and mounts Idol with punches. A unning powerslam from the corner, and Slade gets a two count. Idol gets out of the corner with chops and then a flying forearm.
He attempts the Best Moonsault Ever (or would be appropriate to call it the “Best Moonsault Idol?”), but Slade manages to roll away as Idol belly flops in the center of the ring.

They’re throwing bombs, and The Looks That Kill nails a superkick. He attempts a submission, but Stevens gets on the apron to distract. He chases him off, and Slade uses the opportunity to pick his ankle for the Slade Lock.
Idol writhes in pain and makes his way to the bottom ropes, but Stevens pulls it away, in front of the ref. He has no choice but to call this match so that means…
Your Winner via Disqualification: Bryan Idol
Per the Television title rules, even a DQ win counts as a title defense. Stevens and Salde object and try to beat down the champ, but Idol gets to his feet and attempts to use the belt o beat down both men, who quickly escape the squared circle.
Back in the PowerrrStation Offices, Joe Cazana offers to field questions about his new position as NWA president. Tommy Henry and Kenzie Paige ask what clause allows him to appoint himself the title. Cazana directs the Attorney who has been handling Mr. Bleer’s estate, and the Attorney confirms that there is precedent in this matter. Then Cazana proposes some matches, such as having his son KC face Hunter. Carson Drake, ever the suck up, says he is ready to do it By The Book.
Mason is not down with this, and just like when Boris Yeltsin bombed Parliament, he recognizes that this is a power grab.

Cazana suggests to the new champ that he think about his actions, otherwise he’ll face somebody like JAC. Mason doesn’t back down and dares him to bring it on. As for Cazana and his sons, they smirk and let the roster know they’re gonna do things moving forward By The Book.

NWA World Tag Team Championship: The Immortals (Odinson and Kratos)(c) vs. The Colóns (Primo and Epico Colón)
As mentioned previously, this is a rematch of the Crockett Cup, but now this is for the titles themselves. The Colóns are looking to redeem themselves for coming up so short, as Odinson and Kratos come out with the vaunted Cup and the hardware on their shoulders.

The bell rings, and Kratos faces Primo to start. He tries a sunset flip, but The Most Feared is too powerful. Now Odinson tags in, and the Immortals give a double shoulder tackle. A standing splash by Kratos, followed by a knee drop by Odinson, and he covers for a two count. The Asgardian delivers short-arm clotheslines and attempts another pin, but Epico breaks the count. Tag back to Kratos, who whips him to the ropes. Primo hangs on and manages to trip Kratos to go throat-first to the middle ropes. Epico tags in and launches with an Eddie Guerrero-style hilo (slingshot somersault senton), but he can’t stop The Most Feared, who nails a vertical suplex.

Kratos goes for another pin, and Primo interjects again.
Now the Colóns are in control, as they cut the ring in half, and Kratos is an Immortal in Peril. He is in a modified camel clutch, and as Primo tries to grind him down. He hits the rope, and Kratos comes back with a powerslam. He crawls to his corner and gets the hot tag to Odinson, and the Asgardian is en Fuego on both Colóns. He even drops Epico with an F-10 (a spinning F-5) onto Primo in the center of the ring. Kratos then connects with a swinging side slam, and they achieve Immortality to pin Epico in one, two, and three.
Your Winners, and Still NWA Tag Team Champions: Odinson and Kratos
The Immortals stand tall with their titles as the show draws to a close.
